The newest Distress color. Anyone have a link to visual comparisons with older Distress colors?
I watching watching Tim’s live FB earlier but I got interrupted and now it’s not available. It’s usually available for replay the next day on his blog. It’s actually says it’s available for replay on the blog now, but I don’t see the video yet.
He did a side by side comparison of the greens and it definitely fills in a gap for that warmer dark green. The first comparison was with several of those warm colors ( I can only remember Mowed Lawn right now). The second swatched showed Lucky Clover and another green ( again I forget) and you can see how “ bluer” those greens are against the Rustic Wilderness. I do appreciate how he shows how they compare with others in the line. I kept changing my mind on which I wanted as he showed it in each type of product like stain, oxide, paint, etc. I think I really like the RW in spray stain the best for backgrounds. One day, I will screen shot those comparisons and print them out!
After watching Tim's video on Facebook announcing the new color, I ordered the Distress Oxide pad and Distress stain spray. I really liked how the two formulas combined created various shades of greens.
I ordered the distress oxide and regular distress ink, sight unseen with absolutely no more information than it was green! Ive discovered that when I think a color is weird or nothing that I would EVER use, I end up buying it later, after waiting for it to come back into stock.
It’s 2020 and I decided to just not sweat the small stuff and order the new color in the product lines that I use. Nutty way to reach a decision, but in my defense, a $5 off coupons from Simon Says Stamps swayed me. Yes, I am weak when it comes to stamp decisions!
I ordered too and am so excited to have for pine boughs and such. I was just amazed at the differentiation in color between the Oxide and regular Distress on this one. It was one of the few times I stuck with the Distress version.
