I absolutely LOVE it! I put it on just about every card I make.
I have bought it here and there.....Michael's, JoAnn's, LSS.....
Where do YOU buy yours?
Where is the best website to buy from? The cheapest?
What is your favorite brand? (Mine is May Arts....LOVE them!)
Any tips/hints you would like to share about your ribbons? (storage, tying the perfect knot, how to be thrifty when using on cards as to not waste it, etc.)
Do you know of any ribbon shares? (other than the ribbon Diva: TexasJodyLynn! )
THANK YOU FOR THE LUV !

Have you checked out reasonable ribbon.com? Debbie has great ribbons, prices, AND service! She also offers ribbons clubs. I was in it once and got some beautiful stuff! Happy summer
I have ribbon from craft stores and online stores as well but I constantly go back to my Stampin' Up! Ribbon. It matches the colors and I can color the neutral colors with the reinkers or markers. I have stamped on their ribbon and added rub ons to their ribbon.

I tried going to www.ribbon.com and it didn't give me anything but a generic advertising site. Is that the right web addy?

I just recently purchased from the Ribbon Retreat, www.theribbonretreat.com. They have great prices and cheap shipping and someone on SCS provided a list of ribbon that matches SU. I haven't gotten my package yet, but many others on this site seemed happy with their purchases from them.
Well...I am very partial but I LOVE the huge selection of May Arts Ribbons over in the Flourishes, llc webstore....we've worked real hard to coordinate colors with all of our Basic Grey Papers and other emblishments...check it out!

If you are looking for a lot of colors in varying quantities this is a great option. There is also a wholesale site to get huge rolls...100 yds? more?
It is geared towards hair bow making...but while I was at it I bought supplies for my 4 year old's bow collection. She loves it and I tell dh it was all for her!
I've always received a very quick turnaround.

I am an ribbon addict! LOL
I have the most from SU!, other places I buy is mainly Michael's, they have some cute ones, checks and checkers, textured trios. I buy the ribbon and then try to coordinate it with colors of cardstock for a card. The ribbon is my guide.

Here is the link with the list of ribbon that matches SU colors from www.theribbonretreat.com. They are great! HTH!
I buy ribbon wherever I see it. Of course, the usual 3: Mikes, AC Moore and Joanns. I've gotten some at the dollar store; I've gotten some at garden centers; I've gotten some at LSS.

I wanted to add ...I get my ribbon from lots of sources. Jacksonbelle Embellishments is my newest favorite...she carries tons of fun ribbon! She just added some beautiful satins!
Ooh.. another great resource for ribbon is www.scrappingrannies.com. They sell the American Crafts ribbon (which I LOVE!) by the yard and they are inexpensive and quick. Great customer service, too. Enjoy!
Strano Designs has some great ribbons. Plus I love their Ribbon Stiff. I like die cutting the ribbons. The have about 46 colors in various sizes plus sometimes you can find antique ribbon. HTH :-D

agree with erin k. ribbonsandbows.... i love their satin. when i ordered from them my primay purpose was ordering other types of ribbon. I just threw in three satin ribbons at the last minute. love their satin. wish I had ordered more.
Hobby Lobby has ribbon on sale 50% quite often (in the fabric dept - not the scrapbooking area) - I just bought a ton last week. Now I have to figure out how to store it so I see it. Out of sight=out of mind for me.
I just love my ribbon - I tend to put it on almost every card! I am still looking for a great way to controll my "wild" ribbon - I have my scraps in a clear box, and keep most of it all still on the spools in a basket.
What great tips on this thread.
I buy mine when ever I see some I like , $ tree, crafts stores, michaels, or get it from swaps.

I buy TONS of ribbon from the Offray Ribbon Outlet store. It's a B&M store attached to the actual factory. You can get ribbon on 25, 50, 100 yard bolts for almost nothing. I've frequently paid $5 for 100 yards.
Then they have ziploc bags of assorted lengths and colors and types. All bags are a quarter.
I think I need to go back again. I feel the need for some new ribbons.

Where is this wonderful place??? I hope it's close to INdy!
I was very pleased with my recent order from an SCSer's on-line store, The Pink Hedgehog. She also has eyelets, brads, grab bags and other embellishments. She has ribbon, brads and eyelets that coordinate with SU colors.
