In response to posts asking for Cricut ideas - here are hundreds
I've noticed a few posts asking for ideas for Cricut projects or if does more than just cut out letters. Here's a link to almost 1000 projects that have been made with the Cricut. It's a photo gallery so you don't have to sift through individual posts on a message board. Just click on one of the three catagories (Cards, Crafts, Layouts) to go to each gallery. http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/g...px?galleryID=1
If you don't mind going through individual posts, you'll find over 5,000 projects & ideas here: http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tt.aspx?forumid=2
Here's a card where I used the Cricut for the star - the plane's a Paper Bliss sticker but it could be done using the shapes from the George cartridge.
HTH,
April
WOW...thanks so much for posting all of the examples/links.
I do not have a circuit, although I saw one for the very first time at Michaels the other day. Next week they are offering a free demo of the Circuit and I plan to go see what it is all about!
It kind of looks like a computer and you can print small to large alphabets and such? Correct? Do you only use the machine or do you have to purchase special cartridges and whatnot?
I saw at Michaels they were well over $200.00 but I heard at Walmart they are about $190.00 so, I may have to put one on layaway so my hubby can give it to me for my b-day next month :-)
Amy
Well, your card is absolutely adorable, and that link was really something. I didn't know that there was anything like that out there. (I guess I had to realize there was more than SCS.) Anyway, I don't have any of the new machines yet, but I'm starting to think that I may need one. Oh no!

OMG! Cutest dang card ever!!... I use the Cricut site too. My DD has posted some darling stuff on that site! You are right, there are TONS of ideas there.
Amy - yep, it's kind of like a computer but self contained and WAY easier. You just plug it in, dial up your size and hit the button of what you'd like to cut. Yes, there are lots of cartridges available (and you can get them on sale for less than $60) that have hundreds of possibilities per cartridge. I have several but the cartridge I use most is the one that came with it - George. You can make the airplane card including the airplane with just the George. The other cartridges are fun and when you think that a Big Shot or Sizzix die is $6-$19 per die and you're locked into the one size, the Cricut is a screamin' deal. And, no, I don't work for Provo Craft, I'm just a master at rationalizing my craft shopping addiction. :p
Holy Cats! I've no idea why that last post came out such a mess! I kept reducing the font and it looked okay on my screen. Sorry for the assault on the eyeballs. Sheesh!
