I wanted to know if anyone has this happen to them: Whenever I use my nesties in my wizard, I ALWAYS have to peel and pry the nestie out of my cutting plate - ALWAYS! (When I watched the video, she just lifted the cutting plate and the nestie and cardstock/paper were still flat on the bottom plate.) Does this happen to anyone else, and any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?
Sounds like you're placing the die with the wrong side "down." Make sure the smooth side of the die is facing down and the side with a ridge is facing up. (I don't have the wizard - but this happened to me when I wasn't paying attention with my cuttlebug.)
Thanks for the reply.......but I have the dies facing the right way. It's the ridge part which is getting stuck in the top plate - the top plate in the wizard sandwhich. (Embossing plate, spacer plate, die (ridge side up), cardstock, and top cutting plate.) Anyone else have this happen?
I have the same problem, and sometimes it embosses the little ridges into the paper when I am just cutting with the dies. I thought I was doing something wrong, so I called Spellbinders and talked directly to Stacey. She ended up sending me new cut plates, but I haven't used them yet. I will keep using the old ones for now. The machine may loosen up a little after it has been used more. You should give her a call, and see what she can do for you.
Good luck!
Maybe that's what I'll do - I do think that the pressure in my wizard must be a little too "tight" -so maybe it does need to "loosen" up as well. I'll try giving Stacey a call - thanks!
