If you don't have any stamps, there might not be much use in purchasing a stamp pad, whether classic or pigment. Although, I do use my pigment pads sometimes to just swipe across a piece of paper to color it. The classic pads can do this, too, but they dry so fast they're hard to blend.

Hi Shivani,

You can purchase markers that have 'classic' ink which is waterbased, 'craft' ink which is waterbased but different formula, or a pigment ink, or solvent based - think Sharpies permanent ink. If you are looking to add colour to hand drawn images, I would suggest that you buy a few good quality artist type drawing markers in basic colours ie black, brown, grey, dk blue. Use these pens/markers to create your image and I would suggest that they be a pigment or solvent ink so that you could then use other sources to colour in your images. Once you are ready to add colour to your images use things like ink in a bottle to mix on an artisit plate for colours, peerless watercolour pages ( paint on paper just touch with wet brush), markers, pencil crayons, watercolour crayons etc.....
If you go to google or another search engine you should find all sorts of suppliers for supplies.

May I ask are you in North America? You could have trouble finding shipping if not....

Hope that helps and good luck

Craft ink is much thicker than Classic. Classic Ink or watercolor crayons might be a better choice. If you aren't going to actually stamp images and want to go with ink, try some reinkers.

Shivani, I think you are confusing re-inkers with markers.

Markers are water-based and come only in one style in SU (but in all the 4 color families).

Re-inkers come in both classic and craft and in all 4 color families. yes, you can use the re-inkers to color your image using brush and water. If you wanna take this route INSTEAD of markers, I suggest you go with classic re-inkers.

But remember as I mentioned in my several PMs to you that you can use markers to both color in as well as ink your stamp.

Re-inkers, u can only color.

Ink pads - color in your image & ink your stamp.
