Question Question?

Hi Guys,

I have the cuttlebug, the big kick and the sizzix's. My question is Do I really need all 3? Are the functions different? I'm a newbie! Any thoughts/opinion are appreciated!

Thank you.....

I would say no. I have the big shot and the old red sizzix. I would not give up either one. The older red sizzix will cut through stuff I think most other die cut machine's will not. But it's weight keeps me from using it ALOT....the reason for my Big Shot; I cut, emboss just about any other BRAND PRODUCT out there with this machine. I have not had any issues with it.

I was going to purchase the cuttlebug.............until I found out the embossing folders worked in my Big Shot. I also believe the Cuttlebug is pretty good with using other Brand Product too!!

Good luck with your decision,

I think you could keep the Big Shot and sell the other two machines to buy more accessories for the Big Shot -- I've used everything from Bigz dies to Cuttlebug folders and even Nestabilities with it!

I just have to say it is cute how you call yourself a newbie and have 3 machines!! I am jealous...I have been stampin/scrappin for 4 years and only have the cuttlebug :( Which BTW I love and can use any other company dies in (that I have tried) I haven't tried any of the stampin up dies yet but I am sure they will work just fine.

LOL This is funny!!! My Mom has had the sizzix for years!!!! And I have really weak hands and just can't pick up and lug that old thing around. She was going to get rid of it until I had to cut some thick material and it did the job without any issues. WOW!! So most of the time it collects dust but I just can't see myself getting rid of it.

I have the CB...I use it for embossing folders and nesties when I am NOT embossing the edges as it doesn't leave the mark around them.

I have and use the Revolution for small dies and letters and little nesties when I don't need to center an image (can't see through it) because I love the magnetic base and there is no sandwich mess.

I got the Big Shot thinking it would eliminate the other two, but instead I use this as well...mostly for nesties and larger dies, but it leaves an impression on the edges of the nesties, so I use it when I am embossing as well.

So...if you use them, keep them. I do...and I like having options as well as having each one set up for something different rather than swapping plates and flipping the Mpp around.

I agree with sell all but the BS. I have Cuttlebug, BS, just gave away Original Sizzix...I should take my own advice and get rid of the Cuttlebug..it would give me more space (even the little it takes up would make a difference) but I just have not done it. You can do everything with the BS.
Blessings.

I've sold my bigkick & cuttlebug and only have the SU! Bigshot and am perfectly happy. So, I would say...no.

Default Question

Thank you ladies for all your responses..I really appreciate it. Believe it or not I haven't even used them!! LOL I'm learning how to work them. I bought all three from a lady who was selling her whole entire scraproom items and she gave such an incredible deal. I just got them! They were all brand new. So here I am 1 month later trying to figure out what to do with them!!!!

When I got my Big Shot (same as Big Kick) I gave away my Sizzex and have not missed it. I got an Expression for Christmas that I love, but I'm keeping my BS. My sidekick broke a couple of years ago and I never replaced it and I don't miss it either.
