Hi, I have both and just did a review:
https://thefrugalcrafter.wordpress.c...t-watercolors/ I find the quality to be very similar and many colors are the same but it comes down to what you want to paint. The neutrals have convience skin tones. The Brights all have cool undertones where you will also have some warmer tones and a brown in the prima tropicals. So it depends on what you want to paint. I think the JD sets are designed to work together and be more fashion colors and convience colors where the Prima tropicals offer more versatility in mixing (if you want to mix). Honestly they are all fun, pick the set with colors you think you will use.
