Default Placed an order and now the wait begins!

Tonight was my turn to host for our stamping club group. So exciting! Thanks to some outside orders I had a $400 total and with an extra promotion this month I got $100 of free product and 1 item at 1/2 price. I ordered tons of stuff to use with my big shot. I chose the Peekaboo Frames as my 1/2 price item. Does anyone have them? Can't wait for this order to come in! Lots of fun time ahead.

You will LOVE the peek-a-boo frames, I use mine for everything! And waiting is always the hardest part, isn't it? I have a bunch of ribbon coming today and I cannot wait for the doorbell to ring.

Waiting is so hard and seeing a package by the door when I come home is awesome (small town...guy in brown knows to come into the garage and leave the package by the door!). I've got to ask...how do you receive your mail order/online purchases once they arrive? I have a countertop pennisula in the kitchen right by my door so the box gets put up on the counter, opened with my kitchen shears and I take each item out individually and lay them in a line to admire. I used to doe the same thing as a kid when I emptied my Christmas stocking! Once I've seen all there is, the box of goodies goes downstair to my stamping area and I have to test out some of the new stuff immediately. Sometimes getting a package translates into a 2 hour stamping session. My best friend sits on the living room floor and when she's done, she has a ring 'o' supplies all around her!

I personally take it to my craft area, and try to put as much of it away as possible before questions are asked

This made me giggle out loud! I had to give up the ghost on hiding how much stuff I have this summer when my DH helped me put together a stamping area (in a basement closet). I have A LOT of supplies, but almost all of mine fit into an 8 foot spare closet and DH has a detached 2 car garage for his stuff. I'd say I have a ways to go.

My order came in on Friday so I got busy right away! Used the lattice die to make the ornament that was pictured on the home page a few days back. It was pretty work-y but so far the two-way glue pen was the way to go for adhesive on such slim pieces of paper.

I realized they're not new, but I just got a diecutting machine so I ordered the beautiful wings and the buttons embosslits folders. Those will be a blast. I used a glitter gel pen to color in the debossed areas of a button and it gave the button a real dimensional look. I think covering the button with embossing powder to make it shiny will really add to the realistic look.

After the children go to bed tonight I will be making some December swap cards using the frames die. I'll try to post to my gallery if they turn out. It is just like Christmas when ever a new box of toys arrive.

what makes me laugh is that dh can ask for (and get) a 3000.00 tractor but when I get a 150.00 order he is "what is that, did you REALLY need that?" silly man everyone knows need has nothing to do with it!

To answer Connie's question, I have the Sizzix Big Shot (got it 50% off from SU...I bumped my demo into a $400 order a few months ago and she let me have the 1/2 price item.) I really like the Big Shot, but really wish it had a wider bed so that I could run wider sheets/projects through. I suppose it would cost a fortune and weigh a ton!

Rachel, I wanted to say how much I like your signature quote!

I also really like the idea of embossing those buttons – I just ordered the embosslit, so I want to keep that in mind.
