I am wondering about he Papertrey ink stamps sets. I have never purchase from them and am totally unfamiliar with their products. I looked for a phone number, but the site does not list one. I sent an e-mail and no reply so far. Therefore I figure I would ask around here. Are their stamp sets clear or wood mount? The sets with small leaves/flowers/berries comes with one single leave/flower or a cluster? I particularly like the Out on a limb set, but am not sure how it comes. Are any of you familiar with that set? Can you tell me what and how it comes? Consider that I am unable to reach them, how easy are they to work with? Are there any stores that carry their product?
Sorry for all these questions. Thanks. Be well
Miriam
I hope that I can answer most of your questions. PTI stamps are clear, I do not have the set that you mentioned. They come to you on clear sheets, when I get mine I usually put them into a CD case. I have never had a problem with PTI's service and they ship fairly quickly and I live in Canada. I hope this helps somewhat.
Hi,
You have to order directly from them.
The leaves/berries, etc, come in a cluster, that you match up to the ends of the limb, then there is a single leaf, berrry, too.

Thank you tinyfeet. So, there are several clusters of each leaves/berries, etc? Say, as you mount the clusters, you stamp all of the leaves/berries at once?
I sure think that this is a beautiful set, I just want make sure I understand what I am ordering.

Hi there...I have so many of their sets I dont want to count...their stamps are top quality!
Customer service leaves a little to be desired but they are a great company.
blessings.
The clear stamp sets come to you on acetate sheets with a CD case and a label (you apply the label to the CD case yourself). I do not use the CD case system they provide, but many folks do.
Many of their designs come with separate elements so that you can customize your designs. For the Out on a Limb set you mentioned, there are 4 grouped stamps so that you can stamp them over the tree branch at one time. There are also smaller individual element stamps (like a single leaf or berry), so you can either fill in as you wish or fix an area that didn't stamp well.
I have a bunch of PTI stamps, but I have been ordering a lot less recently. They have been experiencing many customer service issues like slow shipping, website ordering glitches, long waits for out-of-stock inventory, etc., so I am waiting until things improve. With the exception of the ink pads and some of the dies, the merchandise is very good quality (stamps and cardstock especially).
That is a beautiful set and it looks gorgeous embossed! It's one of my favourites. They have some wonderful designs and their dies, impression plates and card stock is top of the line.
Thank you all for the reply. I did order and already received the set and am very pleased with it. I am very satisfied that the items are made in the USA too.
So, I looked at their dies and they have some nice ones. Have anyone purchased their dies? What can you tell me about them? They sure have a large selection, it seems to me. The price seems reasonable for most part. Thoughts?
Thanks. Be well
Miriam
Hello! I too am interested in one of their dies, I emailed them because I could not find it on the website and I have yet to receive a reply! The die I am looking for is one of a hill. I saw a card on here with that die and pm'd the poster and she ordered it from PTI. I could see myself using that die quite a bit! It would really be useful now for winter/Christmas cards. The lady who made the card told me that it was just released this October and should be in their a-la-carte dies and I searched & searched with no luck in finding it. If anyone knows of this die or something similar please chime in, I would greatly appreciate it.
I have several PTI dies and I love them. Some of them I have used alot and they hold there shape even after going through my Big Shot more than 50 times.

Thank-you,

Maybe the die you are looking for is called "In The Meadow" ? I couldn't find a good link but if you scroll way down on the page, this may be the one? Papertrey Ink - Dies to Match!
Thanks Jackie1. I was going to ask if their dies work on the Bigkick, and am glad to hear they do. Can you tell me the "sandwich" you assemble to run the die?

If the dies are associated with a stamp set, it's a million times easier to go to the stamp set page, because the dies should be included at the bottom. So, here's the link to the "in the meadow" stamp set... scroll down below the stamp image to see the dies!

The sandwich that I use in the Big Shot is:
Multipurpose Platform
Clear cutting plate (sorry i'm not sure if that is the right name for it)
Cardstock
Die, blade side down
Clear cutting plate
I know that some people say that you should have the die with the cutting side up and the cardstock on top of the die, but I have use my dies and nesties like this since I got them and I have never had any problems with cuts.
