Default oval scallop paper punch

Lately the Gallery seems to be over run with images on oval scallop punch . I am jealous. Can someone tell me where these can be found? I love the look they produce.
Thanks

I found them at my Michael's yesterday...they were the old 'button' style and not the lever style...but they were still oval scallop punches!

What is the difference in the sizes of these? I couldn't quite understand on the web site. Do they mat one another? Thanks!

Yes - they mat one another. The Mega is the smaller of the two. You can also get them directly from Marvy:

Can someone tell me which size of a regular oval & circle Uchida punch will fit inside of the Giga Scallop oval & circle punches? OR, if one of the CM oval/circles work?

Disneydoll, the megas fit inside the giga punches. I don't think that CM ovals and circles will work.

I have the mega (big) and giga (bigger) scalloped oval punches from marvy. There definitely is an oval, using the CM cutting system to fit inside the giga oval . . .I wondered that, too--to save myself some money, so I didn't have to buy the plain oval punches, since I already have the CM cutting system.

I would also like to see the link to one of these cards made using the oval scalloped punch. Also which ones fit around the CM Cutting System Ovals? Thanks! :-) LM

I'm assuming the oval coluzzle can also be used to cut the oval for inside. I don't have the punches, but I've been seriously considering them.

I personally prefer the fit of the Coluzzle Oval for the Mega & Giga Scallop Ovals; the regular oval Marvy punches have a rather "odd" shape, kinda wonky--like they're not true ovals???? But, that's just me.

Thanks Ladies! I'm off to SHOP some more! But glad to hear I can save a little $$$ by not buying the regular oval punch!

Default HELP

Hi, I saw this thread and had to post. I have a scallop punch from "puch bunch" that totally has disappointed me. I just got it last week from my LSS and it worked fine the first session, but now it gets stuck and wont punch my cardstock. I am sooo bummed. The Marv Mega is just a bit too big for the ATC's I was trying to make. Any suggestions? UGH!!!

Put it in the freezer--that will contract the metal and hopefully, get it to unstick.

Then, try punching through aluminum foil, and then lubricating it by punching through wax paper.

There's also a product out there, but I can't remember the name . . . "_____ Glide" for scissors and punches????? I bet if you googled, an online retail source will pop up?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's something www.franticstamper.com carries, as well . . . ?

The only thing that disappoints me with the punch is the fact that it doesn't reach very far into the center of a card for a window. I bet coluzzle would be much better for that.
Here is an example of how far the punch with reach:

Julie - you are so helpful. I am amazed that you post so many cards and still get on here to answer questions.

But, did I really need to look at those cute cards? I don't need a punch...I don't....

I missed them at first too. Here you go. Maybe this will help.

www.joann.com

For the Giga (purple) punch (the largest). This is the punch that I purchased scalloped. Choose which shape you want from this page.

http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?C...2&PRODID=85969

For the Mega (pink) punch (next size smaller than the Giga). This is the punch that I purchased smooth to center on top of the scalloped. Choose which shape you want from this page.

http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?C...2&PRODID=85972

Don't forget the September 40% off coupon. A pop-up window should appear when you first go on to the Joann web site.

Have fun shopping! Get punchy!

Have you found some ways to use your square scallop punch yet? Here are some two gallery searches that hopefully cover most of the examples in the gallery:

Renee...Thank you so very mucyh for this detailed information regarding which size scalloped and which size smooth to get to fit inside scalloped. Addicted To Rubber Stamps, and Frantic Stamper did not have them both, but Create for Less did. I ordered these two in the ovals, and I can't wait to get them and PLAY :-) LM

I just visited create for less and found the giga scalloped oval and well since I saw they had ALL the scalloped Megas...decided to get those too. The cards in the gallery are just too darn cute! Cannot wait for the mail to come...hope they are fast shippers!

I'm such a sucker for scallops. Can't help it. I love 'em!

Even when I got married 22 years ago, and registered my china pattern. Yup. It's scalloped.
