Default Opinions on Felt

I'm preparing to make some little fuzzy critter thing a-ma-bobs for my nieces and nephews for Christmas this year and I'm going to need some felt.

Normally I would just buy that cheap yucky stuff at Michaels but now that some of these stamp companies are caring the nicer quality felt, I'm thinking this might be a good opportunity to invest in some that I can also use for my cards.

Just curious if any of you have an opinion on who caries the nicest color selection. I'm most interested in vibrant bright colors and would like to go with a company that has a nice variety to choose from.

Any thoughts and opinions anyone would care to share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

PTI felt is expensive if you need a lot of it. Try a store like Erica's sewing, their prices are better. Now, these prices are for a wool 'blend' felt, meaning it's not 100% wool like PTI's. But IMO unless you are creating an heirloom penny rug or purse, 100% is not necessary. There's enough wool in this felt to be much sturdier than the craft felt. I've been using it forever and never had a problem with it.

While I haven't used it this designer felt comes highly recommended from a blog I read.

I have ordered from both of these etsy shops and their felt is wonderful.

Giant Dwarf

Felt on the Fly

I've heard that this felt is really good, too, but I haven't ordered any myself
