If you are meaning the 3/4" circle punch, you can punch out designer paper and line the back of the round clear buttons for a start. I'm sure there are stamps that after stamped on paper can be punched out. I just got this punch myself but haven't had time to experiment with it too much yet.
1/2" circle punch? I *make* my own buttons - lol. I have a small 2 hole handheld punch and punch the . . holes first, then stamp a coordinating color, use the punch to punch out my "button" - attach to a pop-dot from walmart, roll edges in coordinating stamp pad & voila! button

waaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh i haven't the little sets, great ideas, but i haven't any idea why, it probably had to do with a card... geez, if anymore brain matter leaks from my ears, i will hear my own echo through my brain...sheesh i hate when i do this...

If it's the 3/4 inch punch, I've used it behind brads -- two sets, one on each side -- and run hemp behind the punched piece and tied in the middle, like a big figure eight.
I also like the little punches to make 1/2 circle accents around an image.
It can look like a faux slit if you use the same color as the base piece. On this card I used the slit punch, but you could fold over the circle and get the same look with the circle punch:
I'm guessing from your reaction to some of the previous posts that it is the 1/2-Inch Circle Punch you have and need ideas for. In addition to the ones I already mentioned, how about trying these:
- makes a great center in a contrasting color for some of the bigger flowers like the big one in Looks Like Spring or the large solid one in Mixed Bouquet.
- use it to punch out stamped Alphadots and Alphadot Numbers.
- make your own huge exclamation point (a la Supersize Symbols) by using this punch and a piece punched out using the Paper Piecing Punch.
- punch out the center of some of the new round images like Riveting or Circle of Friendship.
- punch out various sizes of circles and adhere randomly to cardstock to make a fun background.
- punch out circles from some of the Designer Papers. Some of the little images are the perfect size for this punch, like the Certainly Celery and Blush Blossom flowers on the Petal Patch Paper.
- perfect size for wheels for some vehicles, especially The Wheel Thing images.
Hope some of those ideas help. Have fun!
How about punching out some designer paper and then layering it over a slightly larger, solid cardstock circle, and hold it all together with an eyelet? I know Basic Grey sells these kinds of doo dads for 4/$1 or more at Michaels.
I have been looking all over the house for my small circle punch....waaaahhhhh!
At convention, they suggestd that we take all of our punches and punch them on a piece of acetate or window sheet. Then use it to look through the catalog and find images that can be stamped inside the various shapes. Maybe you could do this with your circle punch and find lots of ideas!!
