OH NO!!! I think I broke my scalloped punch!!

I am so sad. I think I broke my Mega scalloped circle punch.

I was punching circles for class tonight (Thank goodness it died AFTER I got just enough for class - hope nobody messes up and needs an extra!) and it got jammed. I've had that happen before. But all the wiggling, banging, etc won't help it this time!


I got the paper out, but now every time, it gets stuck "down" and won't budge.



****so sad**** I will have to begin the search for a new one.

*moment of silence* My poor Mega scallop - it served me well through many many many punches.

Maybe you've already tried everything and need to simply let it rest in peace. But if you haven't tried yet: Put it in the freezer. It will make the metal shrink just a bit. Then maybe it will work long enough to punch a bunch of wax paper to lubricate it. *Best Wishes*

But, should freezing it in the icebox unstick it, LMK; if I'm down too long, I have a hard time getting back up again. :p

LOL! Well, your kneeling was not in vain. No luck with the ice box so far. It will only open all the way if you push it open from underneath....which you obviously can't do with cardstock in there unless you ruin your cardstock. I think the lever mechanism is actually *dislocated* inside?


At least I know it has been well-used! Especially since mamak gave it to me....it was free to me!

Papertrey has them right now. Sale started at 8 pm. Of course, you can never replace your beloved punch. It was a good punch, and had a happy life with you. It's on to the land of beloved craft tools. Maybe it will meet up with some nice crop-a-dile and begin a new friendship in the afterlife.

This has happened to me. I got it loose and used wax paper to lubricate it. It seemed to work for now. Haven't used it much since then. (((hugs))) Please keep us posted...

from craft for less and they wont change it for me beacause it been over 90 days and the reason I need it is that I just open it a couple of weeks ago to use it for the first time and it does not punch all the way it's defected and I need help, can you please help. Thanks

I just looked it up on their website. I just googled marvy uchida.

Anyway, their rep said if the store you bought it from (joann's online) won't do anything, you can send it in and they will replace it. So, that's what I am going to do!
