Please don't laugh at me - but I've just stumbled upon all the October Afternoon paper products and I'm drooling and can't wait to get my hands on some of those papers (especially Fly a Kite and Thrift Shop).
So... I'm sitting at working dying to get out of here so I can make a run to the craft stores in search of some of this paper.
Does anyone know if Michaels, JoAnn's, or AC Moore carry them? I live in the Washington DC area and am eager to find some of this paper locally vs. ordering on-line.
I feel like an addict who's trying to get a fix... is it 5PM (Eastern) yet??!!?? (If only I could sneak out the back door I'd be at Michaels in 20 min!) ;)

I have never seen OA paper at Michaels or AC Moore, I'm in SE VA. I don't even think that my LSS (which is 45 mins away) sells it, so I order it online and wait...and I hate to wait, lol...
And Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite are 2 of my fave papers ever, you will love them!!
Grandepuce -- Try calling Angela's Happy Stamper in Reston. I'm not positive, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if they carry it. Besides, if you live in Manassa and you haven't been to Angela's, it's worth the trip!

Jimmi - well... I'm bummed now. I was really hoping that I would find that paper somewhere locally. Guess I'm just going to have to buy some on line.
I just hopped over to your blog (I like your work!) Just curious about the paper you used on your "It's a Hip Hop Kind of day" 2nd Anniversary invitation. I like that a lot as well. Who's paper is that and what's it called?

I'll check to see if Angela carries it. I was in there a few weeks ago (spending way too much money - like I always do!) - I didn't see it then, but I'm always open to making another trip out that way to see what other goodies I can purchase .
www.scraplovers.com carries October Afternoon - if you get on her mailing list, she's been having sales recently - 20-25% everything to make room for the new CHA stuff.
Maria has great customer service! I don't think the paper pads are in stock right now, but if you shoot her an email she can probably let you know when more will be coming in. She does have the 12x12 paper in stock.
Good luck! I love October Afternoon and can't to see what they release at CHA.

Thank you
On this card I used Papertrey Ink paper, Green Boutique, I think it's called.

Thanks for the tip Nikie. I've filled up a little shopping cart full of pretty papers at stopandscrap.com and based on some of the wonderful creations you have on your blog, I'm now heading over to PTI to buy some more wonderful papers that you and Jimmi have used on your projects.
There are some very talented card makers on SCS - I'm so inspired by so much of what I see on all your blogs.
Well.. I better be off to go buy some of that wonderful "Beautiful Blossoms" and "Green Boutique" paper from PTI now ;)
grandepuce, you sound like me. I discovered that paper a few weeks ago. Kept seeing it on some wonderful projects in the gallery and everywhere on blogs. I went looking at all the craft stores locally one weekend just to get some and couldn't find it anywhere. I ended up ordering the Thrift Shop from Gina K because I wanted a stamp from there anyway and I knew she'd have it to me in just a few days. I'm always kind of leary about buying designer paper before I've seen it but I was happy with the weight of it. Not too thin but not too thick either. Gotta get some more now!

Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite are my all time OA favorites! I love them so much I bought 2 8x8 pads of each one. Then I decided I'd just have to get going on my son's baby album after I just had to have Ducks in a Row too!
I ordered mine online. It's hard to even find it online much less in an LSS.
I have recently become addicted to it, too! Do we need to start OAA (October Afternoon Anonymous)? Be sure to check out some of the old paper packs that stopandscrap has, too--I am in the middle of doing all the verve release challenges using the Daydream pack and it is scrumptious!
I hear ya! I spotted some a while back in my local scrapbook shop and told myself over and over that I didn't need anymore patterned paper but that was all in vain! The colour scheme is fabulous and I find that it doesn't matter which ink I use, it ties in easily.
Speaking of October Afternoon, I also picked up a packet of their stamps yesterday at my local scrapbook shop and the detail is fab (it has a doily and a typewriter in it).
Good Luck chasing some down - and Enjoy!
