I have not stamped in a decade, so imagine my surprise when I happened upon a 12-pack of embossing powder at JoAnn's! Since I am re-supplying myself after such a long time, this seemed like a good deal, but I'm really unhappy with this stuff. I have already tossed two of my colors, making a 10-pack.
The powder comes out way lumpy, the jars have pop off lids, which means I get a little EP explosion every time I open one, and it doesn't seem to emboss as nicely as the few powders I have that are not JoAnn's brand. Harumph and poo.
So, now that I am starting over, which brands of EP do you like?
TIA!

You said it. I've had mixed results with Joann embossing powders. I think I'm going to store it in a Gladware container (the big square one) to avoid the dose of inhaled EP!
I couldn't tell you which one, but I've had some duds, too. SU's is good, I just never have the money to order it if and when I do put an order in.... can't get past the stamps and CS!
I am very happy with "Stamp-N Stuff" (a mark of "Stamendous!" product line). I buy it at Michaels. Please keep in mind that I am a SU Demo. Our powders are excellent, but I find you get more for your money with the Michael's powders. Not mentioning the colour selection, and powder selection ex: detailed, tinsel etc...
I have the sets from Joanns and have had good luck with them, but I hated those stupid little bottles - and to try to get all the EP back in after UGH!
I bought a mess of little plastic screw-top jars for cheap on e-bay and transferred all the powder to those and it works a lot better. It also helped keep it from clumping, since there's more room in the jar for the powder to move and it doesn't get so packed down.
I got some EP from JoAnns and had to take it back because it turned weird colors when embossed!
I put all my EP in square clear containers (about 6 x 6 x 2) with tight fitting lids and mark the lid with the color name. That way, I just hold my cs above the container, spoon on the EP, shake off by tapping on the side, and emboss. Works great for me!

Are you willing to share where you purchased your square containers? TIA
Annie, I just bought them at KMart or Target. They are like Rubbermaid or something like that... are really food containers. The snap on lids make them perfect to keep the EP.
