Default New S.U. white cardstock

I ordered 2 packs each of the basic and thick. I am not impressed. Both are slightly thinner than the previous stock. The basic is o.k. but won’t buy it again. The thick will do for bases but it feels kinda cheap. Neenah 110 is much better for card bases. Fortunately I layer most cards so the thick will be ok once it has other layers.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I had wondered. I use a lot of Spectrum Noir Ultrasmooth for coloring with alcohol markers and have others for card bases. I have always liked the CS I have from SU, but have used very little whisper white unless it was in a kit. I did like it when I had it, though.

I like the new Basic White better because it's whiter than Whisper White and the colors seem to stamp truer (the image seems brighter and more "true" to its ink color). It doesn't have that soft, smooth feeling that Whisper White did but I actually prefer paper with a bit of "tooth" to it, anyways (I don't mean the cardstock has those little dimples watercolor paper has; I'm talking about how it feels). The Thick Basic White does seem a tad thinner but I used it for card bases just fine.
