Can anyone tell me if the new hexagon punch will co-ordinate with the honeycomb embossing folder? I would think they would.....but does anyone out there have both the folder and the new punch that could measure and tell me....Thanks so much in advance for your input.
Papertrey has a hexagon die plate & a mini stamp set that work fantastic together. I ordered it & got it in the mail already but I'm working on two projects & can't play with it yet. It looks awesome. Here is a link to check out, scroll down to see the video.
Check the other Thread about the dies that cut hexagon shapes. Read response #3, I told what dies cut Henie shapes that fit the SU and Cuttlebug honeycomb embossing folders.
I just played with the hexagon embossing folder from SU & the hexagon die plate from Papertrey & also the Creative Memories hexagon punch.
Results:
Papertrey hexagon die cuts from the plate die will fit on top of the inner lines of the hexagon on the SU embossing folder....there are 2 outlines to each hexagon & they fit nicely.
Creative Memories hexagon punch the smallest one on the smallest punch which is a 3/4" hexagon, these fit perfectly in the inner hexagon with the 2 lines of hexagons showing on the embossed hexagon layer.
Hope that helps everyone & answered your questions. Both are perfect solutions.

This is awesome, but that punch is retired and going for around $40 on eBay...yeah, no .
Why didn't SU! have the sense to make a hexagon punch to fit the embossing folder?

I got my Creative Memories punches years ago. I started out scrapbooking for about 3 years then discovered stamping, card making & all sorts of wonderful crafting & was hooked! Wow $40. way too high for a punch!
TEDIUS and TIME CONSUMING, but I sometimes run another piece through with the SU embossing folder and cut out the hexagons to put inside the honeycomb "cells". (trim just inside the raised line)
Just one more case where you really have to watch the terms used: matching vs coordinating
