Ooohhh...mine came yesterday! Haven't really had a chance to play too much...too much laundry to wash and fold...dang it! Better get that done so I can play! LOL
Love all the beautiful cards everyone is posting using the new embossing folders! I got: Argyle, Floral Screen, Just My Type borders, Frills Borders, & With Love borders...my faves of all the folders is the Swiss Dots, Birds & Swirls (great for wedding cards & just stunning on vellum!) and Paisley...I love my new folders too...but I haven't gotten to play yet...have fun everyone! ... I just pre-ordered several of the holiday folders at CuttersCreek.com. Really good deals on the products and free shipping over $10 in the US!
However, I will say that this is the first time I've ordered from them, so I will happily act as the guinea pig - unless others can attest to the customer service for the site thru the entire process?
i did order a while back from ohmycrafts and they havent shipped yet as far as i can tell
then i went to stamping cottage this am and ordered a few more...cant tell if they are in stock or not....
i guess i will just have to be surprised.....if and when something arrives
i idnt think about getting the houndstooth or argyle ones and now that i see some of the finished works i regret that....they look fabulous...all i could think of were woolens for winter......but Becca....your cards were stunning !!!

The good thing about Stamping Cottage is they don't show it on their site if it's out of stock. So you should receive some new goodies shortly!!
Thank you YorkieMoma and mugsy1, I appreciate the kind word. These folders are the bomb. It made me get out my other unloved folders and keep them nearby instead of tucked away. I can't wait to see what everyone else produces with these. I didn't get seasonal ones so I hope someone else posts what they made.
Just got mine in from SimplyScrap! That was fast! I can't wait til the kids go to bed tonight to play!

I saw your post and checked out the stamping cottage. Liked their big selection of Cuttlebug folders and embossing borders. Liked their prices. The shipping charge was reasonable, too. I placed an order on Saturday and received it today (Monday)! Great service indeed. I'd definitely order from them again. Thanks for the tip.
i too had excellent service from stampingcottage ! ordered july 30, got it two days later ! that same day i cancelled my ohmycrafts order...placed july 1 !! they had charged me and still nothing at the end of July...she was nice enough to refund the money (i hope)...
i am sure some things are beyond control....but unless i get an order in reasonable time i am done with a company.....if no one was receiving the folders that is one thing....but not when other companies were sending out the same merchandise.....nuh uh !
I can't wait to get the fall and holiday ones too. Our Hobby Lobby had the new ones. This particular one came with a cutting die the same size as the embossing folder and the price on it was $4.99!
becca ! that card was so pretty that i had to order the folder.....and of course several others.
when i first saw the new ones, that one didnt impress me at all, but seeing it done up....ahhhhh.
have to give www.stampingcottage.com an "atta girl"....i was able to call her and add something on to my order which then qualified me for free shipping....
i recently learned that companies can NOT charge your credit card for preorders....that was done by ohmycrafts....i canclled that order and did get the refund. but i didnt know that was a no-no.
stampingcottage.com only shows inventory online that is instock and can be shipped immediately. a much better way to do business in my opinion !!
Wow, I got a call from a girlfriend that the pricing on our folders at Hobby Lobby was not correct...I sure don't want to mislead anyone.
Mugsy1 I'm glad you got your order in. I'll have to give StampingCottage a look see. I still have backorder out there on a couple of items that shouldn't have been and the bummer is they are sitting at my Hobby Lobby right now...
I'm so excited. I'll be picking mine up from my local stamping store on Friday. Of course the owner emailed me with the subject line "I know this is mean" near the end of the day on Wednesday to let me know that the had arrived. It was too late to pick them up Wednesday and I worked all day today (during the store's hours) so I'll be on my way on Friday. So excited!!!
I'm off to Michael's for that MS punch. I thought about the slime, but now the snow drip idea really has me excited. You are so creative and have a beautiful gallery.
Oh, you mean instead of the circles, there are buttons? That's even better! Weird that it isn't shown like that. Wonder if they are all like that or if you're just lucky??!!

I also let them know about the newer folders being different then the older version. I liked it much better when the embossing started further down the folder. It made it much easier to center on a card front.

I have discovered that if you trim 1/4" off of your paper, which makes it perfect to mat on a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 " card base the cardstock fits perfectly up against the top and doesn't shift. I think most people probably trim the cardstock so perhaps this is why they made the new folders a little different. Before if you wanted to make sure the cardstock couldn't shift you had to trim after embossing. Just a thought.
Aww thanks! I let most of my other folders sit around and never used them and I think I like all the new releases - they're unique. I tried the Leafy Branch folder again, but this time on silver foil...
