Default New Cricut "Mini?"

Good morning everyone, hope your day is going well.

I am seeing rumors of a new cricut mini (not the cake mini), seems that the machine will work with the new craft classroom from Provo Craft? And it is supposed to be wireless (you can hook up to the program without having to plug the machine into your computer.)

Anyone has any other information? Pictures? Looks like it could be a pretty cool machine : )

I think you have to use it with Cricut Craft Room which isn't available to everyone yet, and you have to have a cpu and internet connection to use it so even though it's portable you still have to bring your laptop with you and have internet connection. Would be interested in learning more about it though. Wonder if it's gypsy compatible? The price is good though since the new E2 was over 300 bucks and some people (like me) couldn't afford it. I'm still happy with my baby bug and origional expression though :-)
What does everyone else think about it?

So how does it work? Do you just connect it to your computer and download images from the Cricut Craft Room? Are they beginning to phase out the carts? Looks very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

You still need the carts to cut. You can DESIGN with any image in the Cricut CraftRoom Program, but you can only CUT if you own the cartridge. This goes for all the Cricut machines, whether you design with the Gypsy, Design Studio, or CCR.

As far as I can tell from posts on the Cricut MB, the new Mini only works online because you must use it with CCR, which is Provo Craft's online-only design program.

I may be misunderstanding, but it appears from the CHA blurb that you even need to use CCR (be online) even if you just want to cut from a cart, which doesn't make sense to me.
