Default Nesting punches-size to get for matting?

I have a 1 1/4" EK Success Round nesting punch and I want to know what size to get to do a mat for that size. I was also hoping to get a scallop nesting punch for matting with that same punch too, what size should that be? Or is it better to get the spellbinder nestabilities and not worry about the punches?

Thanks so much! I always get so many great ideas from you all!!

I'd just go with the nesties, they take up a lot less space!

If you get round nesties and scalloped nesties you have more choices for matting...

I agree - go with the Nesties. For storage reasons, and also they have so many different sizes in each set.

The only punches that I use very much any more are the 1-3/4"" circle punch, and 2" scallop circle punch to go with it. I got them both from Paper Trey because they work perfectly with a lot of the circle Christmas stamps in their sets.

I love the Nesties. They give you more than 1 choice like a punch does. You are going to have the same amount of money in 2 punches that you would pay for a set of Nesties. I started with the basic shapes and went nuts from there. I own lots and lots of them and I use them on most every card I make. Nesties and Cuttlebug embossing folders are my must haves!
