Talking Nesties...which ones do I NEED??

Well, I got a CB...now it's time for Nesties!

Which ones do I NEED to start off with?

Yeah, yeah...all of them, but let's be realistic!

Thanks!

You might want to start off with one set of the shape you like the most. My mistake was buying the scalloped shapes to start with but not the plain shapes. I can do without the squares and rectangles because I can cut those with my cutterpede, but I really wish now that I had the plain ovals and circles to make layering so much easier! So maybe get the plain ovals and either the large scalloped ovals or the small. Or the full set of ovals or the full set of circles, etc.

I use my ovals and my rectangles the most, but I really do use all of the scalloped shapes I have - the rectangles, ovals, circles and squares. I really REALLY want the new label dies, I'm hoping to get those after Christmas.

I started with the circles, I got the complete set of 4 of the circles, two classic and two scalloped (not the petite scallops though).

then I got the ovals ( I buy them in complete sets of 4),
then rectangles and squares, and on the end I bought the long rectangles.

I'd do the ovals and circles first, the plain ones, then get the scalloped.

For me it was circles first then ovals ... I got the scalloped ones first, then the plain ones ... whatever you get you wont be sorry, you will just want more!

whichever you decide, go for scalloped and plain edges together.. far more versatile. I went for ovals and circles becuase it's easy to cut straight edges.

although I think my next purchase will be the Labels..I love both of the new designs....

I started out with the large ovals first both plain and scalloped I also have the circle, square and rectangle scallop/plain in the large sizes. I wish that I had bought the set of 4 for each size at the time I started buying because now I would like to have the small sizes to go with the large sizes.

I guess it depends in part to what images you will be using with the Nesties the most to begin with. Most of my images fit the oval shape the best so that is why I went with them first. They are addicting and they give your image that special look to finish it off.

I bought them in sets of 4 (the two scalloped and two non-scalloped) for maximum layering. I bought the ovals first, then the circles, rectangles and I haven't bought the squares yet. I use the ovals a LOT, and the circles and rectangles less so...but more than enough to justify the cost. I love them for polishing off a card...makes it very professional looking in my opinion. Whatever you buy...I predict you will soon be addicted too!~

Labels 1 ROCKS! After that, large scalloped squares with small straight edge squares. Then, large scalloped rectangles with small straight edge rectangles. Of course, if you are budgeting, you can cut your straight edge squares and rectangles, but I was too lazy. Seriously, though, if you can only buy one set, get Labels 1. LOVE it!

edited: Doh! I just saw that you've already placed your order. Great sets! Have fun.

Good choice, Tracy. I got the scallops first, and used some plastic templates I had to trace and cut the plain circle and oval shapes to go inside. It was a little tedious, but hey I saved a bunch of money.

The postie just delivered my first nesties order yesterday (Sunday here in Aus) was very surprised to see a postie on my doorstep on a Sunday morning, but hey, he had my parcel. So, I was playing for quite a bit of yesterday arvo, to see what shim layers I needed in my CB to make the embossing layer work best etc. Next, I have to upload the first card I did with them.

I have the Ovals (set of 4), Squares (set of 4), Labels 1 and 2.

Have lots of fun with your order! I started with rectangles and then went to circles. I still need a couple more ovals, but do already have the label ones.

Labels 1 !!!! I made a lot of my Christmas cards using it - I love it so much!! Buy it now before it sells out again

Also, I would pick Circles or Ovals complete set.

I really like the tags for sentiments (just make sure you have stamps that fit it). I have the Ribbon Tags Trio, but the other 2 sets are really nice too (Double Ended Tags and Labels Trio)

I'd go with the labels, those are the hardest to hand cut, then the geometric shape you like the most, and keep on going! I can't wait to see if they have new products at CHA in January!
