Default Nestabilities storage idea

Thought I would share an idea I'm using for storing my nesties. I bought a 4 1/2" x 7" coupon holder. It has 12 divided sectons with tabs. I bought 9" x 12" magnet sheets. I cut the magnet sheets into rectangles to fit in the coupon holder. I mount a set of nesties on each of the magnet sheets and I've labeled the tabs of the coupon holder with an abbreviated name for each nestie set. On the reverse side of the magnet sheet (the white side) I've put a label with the sizes of all the dies in that set. So I can store 12 sets of nesties in a very small space and they are very easy to put away also.

I've attached some pictures (I hope) to give you an idea of what I've tried to describe. Hopefully someone will find this idea useful.

what an awesome idea - I have been using CD holders, but recently purchased the rectangle nesties and the CD holders are too small. This will work perfectly - thank you for sharing this with us.

Have a great evening.

Wow- this is a really cool idea! My current Nestie storage isn't really working for me anymore but I need something budget-friendly.

I bought the cheap cd cases from the dollar store and I have a heck of a time opening the stupid things. I spent so much money on the magnetic strip so I dont want to just toss them just yet.

Not knowing that I would have a problem, I purchased a package of 25 clear cd cases. I applied the magnetic tape on the flat side and now when I try to close them, they don't close well. The cases must be too thin but I didn't see an option to get thicker ones. Anyone else have this trouble?

i had an unused framed picture (11x14)....i used adhesive backed magnetic sheets....attached directly to the glass....leaving the mat exposed. now i have my nesties resting on the frame...i hung it on the wall over my work table.

but i had more (oh my, how could i have so many) and i attached more adhesive backed magnetic sheets to warped CB B plates and have them resting on a shelf. now i can see all the nesties.....and get to them easily. they even look intersting !!

Amber where you do get clear DVD holders? I have my smaller Nesties in CD holders, and some of my larger in the DVD tins. But those are getting expensive. I'd love clear DVD holders!

My storage system is VERY cheap. I purchased a 4 hook utensil holder from Menards 99cents. Hung it up in my closet. Then purchased the clips that they use in rope climbing (not the real ones) 3 for $1.00 at the dollar store. Each type of Nestie bets their own clip and I hang them off the utensil hooks. Right now I am storing 6 Nesties for $3.00!

I love this idea and I took this idea and another and combined it for my perfect storage! I found this coupon holder in the Target Dollar Spot today and bought two. The idea I took from someone on this site (sorry so I don't remember who, so I can't give credit) is to replace the tape on the insert that the nesties come on with magnetic tape(found mine at HL) and then I slip that into the coupon hold. I love the way it works, I have all the information right in one place! Hope this makes since and helps someone.

Yeah this is what I was meaning, I put a strip of magnetic where the tape is on the card and then slipped it into the coupon holder, works great!

Default Coupon keeper

I bought a 4 1/2" x 7" coupon holder. It has 12 divided sectons with tabs.

I bought this exact same coupon keeper at Target yesterday in the Dollar Spot bins. Only one buck!!!

I hadn't seen this thread until just a moment ago, so I guess I'll have to go back to Target and get a couple more of these for my Nesties! Great idea!! Now I have to find the magnet sheets.....any ideas? Home Depot or Lowes? Couldn't find them at Target yesterday, but then again, maybe I just wasn't looking in the correct area. What dept. did you find yours in?

Thanks,
Kat

I actually used business card magnet. You know the kind you buy at the office store where you can stick a business card to it and then you can stick it on the frig. I would show you a picture but I don't know how to do post a picture. I know if you want to do it like one of the first posts you can get sheets at Hobby Lobby or you can get vent covers at Home Depot or Lowes. Hope I helped.

Love this idea, I just went to Roberts and they had pouches similar to what you used for 40% off, so I picked one up and already put my Nesabilities in it. I was not getting along with the CD cases at all.

And just a quiet moment of appreciation for my 6 year old son, who thought that the white glitter looked like snow, and decorated my craft room with it. ALL of it. **sigh** At least it was the cheap stuff.

You can find the vent covers at Bed, Bath & Beyond and they are always sending out 20% off coupons.

That's good to know as I found the magnet to be pretty weak on the vent covers.

I got magnetic sheets at Walmart in the crafts area where the paint and stuff is. Pretty reasonable price! I use the standard CD holders but I was looking at some larger DVD holders and forgot where I saw them.
