on the origional wizard video on the Spellbinders site I do say to mark one of the Wizard white mats cut and one emboss..... this is really no longer relevant. The ONLY reason I say that in the video is so people will not cut into every mat..... in other words it was said to keep one mat free of cut mark so the cuts do not super impose into your thin card stock or foils when embossing..... if you do have cut marks in all your mats..... its really no big deal, just place a piece of CS down over the cuts to prevent super imposing images of the cuts where you do not want them to be.
My gosh, have you been to www.spellbinders.us? They are doing a special birthday party for the nestibilities. This means a special reveal each day for two weeks for some of the new dies coming out at CHA. They have shown a couple new sets of nestibilites...and it's only day four! I just HAVE to get the nested birds...so beautiful. Check it out!
You go on the home page of www.spellbinders.us. It will be pink and say something about the 1 year anniversary for nestibilities. Down at the bottom of the page there are links to blogs. They are revealing 1 or 2 new sets of dies on the blogs each day. They tell you which day to check the blog. Today they introduced Piercabilities...gotta get them. Soooo Elagent!
thanks i was there but didnt realize they were presenting the new dies have to have the framabilities and corners!! my new wizard still has not been shipped as promised!
Okay, I got the square nesties this past week from overstock... I finally got to play with them tonight and they worked ok in my cuttlebug. They didn't stick into the B plate, but I did notice that it was a very tight fit (I thought I was going to break the B plate). And when I took the sandwich apart, the die had not only cut the cardstock, but it also semi-embossed it? Is that normal? It's almost like I need something thinner than the C plate. Any suggestions?
I have not gotten my nesties yet. but every thing I have read says to use the b plate. Along with 3 pieces of card stock and the tan embossing mat. Go to spellbinders and look for compatability usage with other die machines. From what else I have read the c plate you rarely use. Also try out youtube and do a search for nestabilities and cuttlebug. There is a great one by erinmichelle. Hope that helps.
I guess too what I didn't make plain before was that I was NOT trying to emboss. I just wanted to cut..... is it suppose to feel like I'm going to break my B plate

Yes, the "breaking" sound is normal. Mine doesn't seem to do it as much as I have seen others talking about theirs.
Also, I always get the embossed look as well. I have tried leaving out the cardstock and it did the same just not as prominent.
I wasted money on the tan mat. I use a piece of "chipboard" aka "cereal box" and it embosses way better than using the mat. Plus the nestie does not stick to my B plate and hopefully it will last longer.
I would like to put out the disclaimer....LOL!I heard one posting said it feels tight and like it makes a noise,...... but they say its normal! Mine is on its way from cutathome(dot)com. I ordered rectangles. I'll let ya know how it goes. Good Luck
I'm so excited. Fabulous mailman just delivered my nesties. I'm going to go play. YAHHHHH!
Woooohoooooo!
I just ordered the tan mat and storage sheets from Cropstop.com. Now - do I order the circle set that's out of stock from [email protected] and wait for the next boat?
Okay the testing is done. Thy are awesme!!!!! I would order fom cutathome. Yes you have to wait but you save like $25.00. Thats enough to budget that single to add to nestie collection. It took me a bit over 14 days to get. Now that I think about it....It seemed so much longer. I didn't think I was this impatient. I think I will try the 2 sheets of cardstock. I now have 4 indentations in 1 of my B plates from just using everyone elses recipe for cuttlebug. Ya know I feel like buying 2 new ones because it no longer looks new. I won't but man am I ****.
I also got the 2 mats and the swiss dot embossing folder. yeah.
I can now enjoy nestie fun. I think I am going to order towards end of July the ovals.
swiss dots have become my favorite
my b plate has many, many impressions
so far the plate has not broken, but i also have 2 extra in case
still waiting for my new wiazard,i ordered in may
the new wizard was recalled!!!!
I'm not selling anything, I have the Cuttlebug and I use my nestabilities in it and love it! I have cut card stock, metal sheeting, and chipboard with no problems at all. I read in an earlier post that one girl said hers got a little warped/bent, that has not happened to me.
Jerri,
I what size Netabilities did you use for the circles in your son's Thank You cards? I want to purchase a set, but want to make sure I get the right size. I too have a Cuttlebug and just need the Nestabilities.
Thanks, Sheila
I just received my new nestabilities from [email protected] today. I just had to play. I used the 40% coupon and got the entire oval set for 57.00. Hippie.
I used the crop at home video on Utube and didn't have any problems w/ sticking to the B plate. I do not have a tan mat, so I cut my silicone baking mat to fit and it worked great! I shimmed w/ 4 pieces of card stock and may cut back a piece...the embossing was very heavy.
My new and first package of nestabilities came Saturday in the mail!! I went ahead and ordered the tan mat... thought it was worth a try to save my B plate.
So I just tried my nesties with my cuttlbug and although they haven't stuck in my B plate so much that I need to get it out with a craft knife and I haven't broken a plate but I wanted to know if it normal to have the nesties cut and leave an impression in the B plate? Everytime that I run it through it leave a cut mark in the plate. How often will I need to replace the B plate?

Thanks for any info!!
Just wait until you use cuttlebug die cuts. They leave horrible marks! I'm not worried. I bought an extra set just "in case" but ... have been succesfully marking my b-plate for months now. Now - if the die does get stuck in the plate then I think your sandwich is a little too tight.
Hobby Lobby is going to start carrying the nestibilites and they will also let you use the 40% coupon. I live in the SW suburbs of Chicago and they are slowly arriving. I use the following sandwich for cutting..... A plate...b plate..cardstock ...die(ridge side down) and then the c plate. I have never had any problem with this sandwich. Carol
Does anyone know if there is a set of nestabilities that is either a square or rectangle with a { edge? I thought I saw it somewhere but can't find it...am I crazy?
Let me know!

They are Labels One. Look here about a third of the way down the page on the left hand side. The samples they show are blue.
go to cutathome.com subscribe to them and you will get a coupon once a month for 40% off most expensive nesties your ordering. That $52 for a full set.
My trouble is that I get a partially embossed image when I am just trying to cut. If I use less shim, then it won't cut. And I am talking just taking out one thin (cheap) piece of card stock.
Has anyone else had this trouble? Any luck fixing the problem?
I hope you've fixed this problem since January, but I had the same problem today with my new nesties and searched here for an answer--as someone suggested, the C plate was too thick for my new cuttlebug + nesties. I bought the plumbers gasket (red rubber mat) from Lowes for embossing, but then I thought to replace the C plate with it. It works great! A + mat + B + nestie + paper + B.
As another note, I bought the two different thicknesses of mat. The one that didn't work DID work great as a cushion to stamp clear stamps on! Yippee!
which size gasket did you use i have two sizes
also when i cut the nesties i use
a, c, ,die , cardstock and (1 cheap index card ), b
the die never cuts into my b plate and sticks
the index cards a very cheap (especially now with the sales on school supplies)
I had to experiment with my Nestabilities in the Cuttlebug to get the correct thickness for cutting. Each machine is probably a little different, so add or subtract some chipboard when using them.
BTW, I have ordered twice from Cut@Home and have gotten my order within a week both times.
