ASWESOME...will defin. check the site out...thanks.
My trouble is that I get a partially embossed image when I am just trying to cut. If I use less shim, then it won't cut. And I am talking just taking out one thin (cheap) piece of card stock.
Has anyone else had this trouble? Any luck fixing the problem?
I'm having this same problem...hope someone answers this...

When I use my nestabilities I have been following this sandwich from top to bottom: B plate-die upside down-paper to cut-C plate-A plate. This deeply embedds the die into my C plate more than I would like and I really have to yank to get it our plus it semi-embosses it. Tonight I tried this from top to bottom: B plate-tan embossing pad - 2 thin cardboard shims-die upside down-paper or cardstock to cut-B plate-A plate. The nestability did not embedd itself at all in my B plate. Note for this stack I took out the C plate!! It cut through the SU cardstock perfectly - no embossing. Try this & good luck!
I figured I would have to not use the C plate, that it was just too thick a sandwich. I will do tests to see how many cardboard shims I'll need, thanks for the advice!

It worked good after a few different pieces of chipboard. I have a question - How do you store these? I saw someone had them in cd cases but I don't know how to get them to stay in place. Please let me know or post pics. thanks for your help!
I didn't even think they would be magnetic! Good idea, thanks!! Now I just have to buy magnet strip. My husband will really think I am nuts, everytime he goes to Walmart I need something strange for my scrapping!!! LOL
You need the Polymer pad to do the embossing. I did see some place that you can use rubber gasket sheets from the plumbing department. Has anyone tried them. I sell the polymer sheets but I would love to know if the gasket rubber works?

The C plate is definitely too thick to use with the Nestabilities. You have to play with your two B plates and cardstock to find the correct thickness and it works fine! I'm very happy with the combination I found, it still marks the B plate, but not as much as it used too, and there is no cracking noise... I was always afraid the B plate would break!
For storage, I'm using CD cases, and I put my dies between two thin foams (craft foam I bought for my kids). I write on the foam which dies are in. It's working fine for me. But the magnet idea is great too.
It seems like the common thread I continue to read when using the Cuddlebug with the nestabilities or any spellbinders dies is playing with the tightness of the fit. The pressure seems to vary from machine to machine in manufacturing. BUT, once you figure it out, it's a breeze!

Tightness of the machine
When I first got the cuttlebug, I was terrified of cracking the B plate when using the nestabilities to cut. There was a fair bit of pressure at first and my B plate did have a semi permanent bow in it after the very first use. (It has since straightened a little and I try to ensure that I turn the plate each and every time I use it as well as top and tail it, to ensure as even a usage as possible. It does not make the same noises as it used to nor is it as much pressure exerted as at first. As for the dies cutting into the plate that can not be avoided. I generally place 2 single layers of cardstock together and a sheet or 2 of paper. The card always cuts through but not the paper. Thats' fine to me, This way I deem (to me anyway) to reduce the imprint of the die on the plate, I cut 2 for the effort of 1 and if the paper gets cut, well and good, but if not that's fine too as my intention is to really to reduce the cuts on the surface of the plates. Obviously I didn't do this the first dozen or so times when it was extremely tight. I can well imagine that I might stretch the 'gap' and maybe able to add another sheet of paper, but I doubt it would cut more as the cutting 'teeth' of the nestabilities is very narrow. Experiment with the number and thickness of cards and papers vary from brand to brand.
What sizes are you various nestibilities? ie. "small"?

Hi, Just checked out your store and wondered what sizes are in the nestability stacks and is that polymer sheet what you need for the cuttlebug... is this in addition to 2 b plates?
Thanks!

Subscribe - Just got my Nestabilities today. Nervous to use them. Is there a picture of how to layer? I am so visual. Thanks!!! I have my tan mat on order still. I am dying to try these. I ordered these late January and just got them!! Yippie!!!
I have been using Nicole Headys nesties sandwich and the nesties do stick in the plate but I have not found it to be a bad stick. they so easily come off and the results of the die cut are awesome. I just placed my order for a few more sets today and I already have LOTS of the....addictive I tell ya.
I use my nesties all the time with the cuttlebug. They always get slightly stuck on the B plate but never have I had one get embedded...I think I would have a panic attack. I love the nesties.
I ordered mine from cutathome.com and they are even cheaper than the ka site mentioned earlier. $57 with shipping for a set of four when you have a VIP coupon for 40% off.
I didn't realize I would need the tan mat until my Nestie order had arrived. I hate to pay shipping just for a mat. Can you buy these at Archivers, Michaels or Hobby Lobby? An earlier post mentioned plumber's gasket. Does this come in a package? Are there different weights? Wow, I have a lot of questions for one simple mat. Thanks for your help.

I use the A - B - C stack all the time with Nestabilities. No problems. Each Cuttlebug machine is slightly different. Maybe it's only one one hundredth of an inch, but it makes all the difference in the world.
Your cuttlebug will work great with your nestabilities. the company Spellbinders supports all these machines with individual recipes on their site at www.spellbinders.us/recipes. Follow that and you will be just fine. And yes sometimes the dies do get "stuck" in the plates and so I always recommend that you label one side of your plate cut and one emboss, this way you will also cut up the same side of the plate and emboss ont he other side. In otherwords by using one side deicating to just embossing you will never pick up any other marks from previous cuts. Hope that makes sense, however I highly recommend going to that web site. Have fun!
When my Wizard arrived it came with a dark, dark blue soft mat kind of like the tan embossing mat. At first I thought it was the magnetic sheet, but it's not magnetic. does anyone know what this is for?
