Question Need a Watercoloring Tutorial

I would love to be pointed in the direction of a good tutorial for using my Prismacolor pencils and stump things with the MonaLisa stuff I bought.

Preferably with pictures or a video tutorial.

I am 100% clueless, no idea where to start so it has to be a good one, lol!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Hay Jimmi! What you're calling watercoloring is really called Gamsol Magic or Colored Pencil Magic. There are no watercolors involved. Here is Gina K's video. I do mine a little different. I use Ga Pacific CS and stamp with VersaFine Onyx Black or Vintage Sepia. I color in my lightest colors first followed w/ OMS and stump, then graduate down to the darkest colors. You're gonna love this technique!! May God bless, Sandi

I designate a stump to each color and write that color name around the center of the stump. This great tip came from Ann aka stamps&cars. This way, you won't have to worry about contaminating a lighter color w/ a prev. used darker color. It saves on sanding too which gives your stump much longer life.
Here's another video w/ a little more indepth info:

The Splitcoast tutorial on Gamsol Magic is here. I use the Mona Lisa brand of mineral spirits because I couldn't find the Gamsol brand.

Two important things you will need are patience and practice. I tried dozens of times before I got it to look decent.

I learned by watching the video posted over on the Hero Arts Club Blog website. On the blog, there's a list of past videos, and there's one in there by Shari Carroll . Jennifer McGuire also has one. She another of the Hero Arts artists. Great tutorials and easy to follow. I personally use Goo Gone from Dollar Tree for $1 instead of the OMS. Never tried the Gamsil cause I couldn't find it. But I love the Goo Gone and had great results! If I were PC savy, I'd send you the direct video links........
