I'm trying to find the large scallop oval that is used in so many of the great cards in the gallery. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to get one of these.
I believe you are thinking of the Marvy Uchida� Clever Lever Craft Punches�, specifically the Giga Scalloped Oval and, if you want to achieve a 'nested' look, then the Mega Oval. Note If you have some Coluzzle ovals or Creative Memories oval, those might work, too. Check this thread for suggestions: Got my scallop and plain oval punches...and I'm not happy
These punches are *not* sold through SU!. You have to buy them through a store - either 'bricks and mortar' or an online store. BUT...the scalloped ovals seem to be in high demand and so are quite hard to find at the moment.
The scallop punches are made by Marvy Uchida. They are the Clever Lever punches in the Mega and Giga sizes and can be found from several sources. Good Luck finding them. The last time I attempted ordering they immediately went out of stock. I just checked out the Marvy links and it looks like they have some in stock. They are quite hard to resist with such fabulous results when using them. TFS ladies.

yes you do pay full price ($22 each) but you get free shipping for any orders over $40 plus they have a lot of other great little things...I swear by thier squishy scissors - I bought a pair when I bought my punches - I should of bought more then 1 pair....they are the perfect size

http://goldencreations.biz/sales/ is the site I ordered mine from last week. I am anxiously awaiting their arrival. I have not used this site before and was willing to give them a chance. I got the giga scalloped oval and giga scalloped circle there.
I just ordered mine yesterday from goldencreations.biz. She has them in stock and her shipping is only $4.50 no matter what you order. Prices were reasonable.
I ordered from onestopsquare.com and just received an email that the order is shipping...the punches I ordered are the Giga Scallop Oval, the Giga and Mega Scalloped Circles. Free shipping over $48. I am hoping the package arrives soon.
I have them and love them...giga and mega. all shapes yes, I was ENABLED!....I did end up with one extre Mega scallopped....if anyone is intertested...I bought it from Create for less..plus shipping.

I too ordered from 1stopsquare.com on 1/5 and received an e-mail today stating that the Giga Scalloped Oval is out of stock and was out of stock when I ordered it. Interestingly enough, they charged my credit card immediately (only item I ordered) even though they have no date as to when this punch will be available. I've sent 3 e-mails to them looking for information and I've called 4 times. No response to my emails, and the phone number has a recording that says "memory full." I don't have a very good feeling about this company and even checked with the BBB (unfortunately 2 weeks after I ordered) and they have an unfavorable report. Has anyone had good luck with them? Are they reputable? I'm extremely frustrated.

just got off the phone with a gal from Golden Creations. They also are out of stock. You can order them but unfortunately their website does not show they are out of stock. The gal says they are hoping to have them by the end of January. I guess I find it frustrating that the majority of websites charge you immediately but do not inform you that your item is out of stock or when it will become available.

OH Boy!!! Bet I just messed up!!!! I ordered from onestopsquare.com before I read all yall's comments. I immediately called my mastercard to try to stop it and you can't stop it until it's posted to your account and then you can only contest the charges!!! I never take chances like this. I just wanted those punches so bad because of all the cute cards. What was I thinking! If my DH finds out he'll give me a hard time for being so stupid. Yikes, guess that was stupid, huh?
Rose, I didn't mean to put anyone in a panic. Just totally frustrated in the lack of communication. I did call my credit card company to get advise on this. They told me I could still dispute the claim even AFTER I pay it. I have 6-8 weeks after it is posted to dispute it. That being said, I did hold off for now. I've talked to and heard from others that these punches are supposed to be available at the end of January. I have read other people's comments on 1stopsquare.com and they were favorable. I should also say that the negative reports from the BBB were from 2003 but still never resolved. Lots of little things that make you wonder about the legitimacy of this company. Definately lacking in customer service. I just didn't like the fact that my form e-mail reply from them stated that this item was out of stock even before I ordered it - why charge my credit card then? Hopefully in the end it will all turn out ok, but until then I'll keep you advised as I hear things.

Thanks, Lisa. Like you I've tried to call the company and the machine is full. Grrrr. I'm not as patient as you I guess. I'm going to try to contest it and stop the payment and I will return to being the cautious person that I usually am when ordering on line. If I hear anything I will post it.

No, no, no! That's not true. A merchant can cancel a transaction and it will not cature the funds from the customers credit card or the merchant can refund back to the credit card if they have already captured the funds. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. That's not fair to you!

That should say "capture", not cature. That means pull the funds from your credit card.

I got an e-mail from fran at franticstamper.com, she said they are expecting a huge shipment of 500ish punches in early Feb. I ordered from scrapbook-creations this morning and so far haven't gotten a "out of stock" e-mail, fingers crossed. If I don't get the ones I've ordered, I'll get them from Fran.
Thanks, Gina, Lisa, everyone. Frustration rains high! My addiction takes control and wants the punches now instead of waiting till the end of Jan. or when ever. Of course the site didn't say they didn't have it in stock and if they taking your money when they know darn well they don't have the merchandise seems unfair. I had thought if I wanted to stop the transaction I could do it if I did it immediately. MasterCard said no can do because it's "pending". I wrote an email to Onestopsquare and told them NOT to bill my card. I haven't heard anything back. I will call MasterCard and onestop again tomorrow.
Help!! I am trying to find the marvy giga and mega scalloped punches before everyone else moves on to the next best thing!!!! Everywhere I look they are back ordered or sold out! Don't know if I overpaid at $19.95 each, but I ordered the scallop circle, scallop oval and scallop square. Should have them by Monday. On Tuesday, I'm getting a nice big box of goodies from SU, so next week should be a great week. Hope I don't forget about the kids!
Here is the latest from Marvy. I talked to them this week and they said they were only getting about 1200 in and they already had over 1600 orders on backorder. So, many of the companies who are expecting them will not be getting them. I'm sure that whichever companies get them in, it will be joyfully shared here. LOL!
The next shipment is due in to Marvy mid March. Yikes! They are popular little buggers!

Finally heard from 1StopSquare. They finally today credited my credit card for the merchendise they said was in stock but wasn't. I think they only did that though because I called my credit card company to dispute the charges. Good luck for those that have already ordered.
Well, I ordered mine from Scrapbook-Creations. It didn't say either way if they were out of stock or not. The email I got from them just confirmed my order. I hope this is not a tease....I sooooooooo want these stamps....they said they ship within 2-8days.

I just got an e-mail from scrapbook creaitons saying mine shipped today. Interesting that they cancelled yours Monika. I put the order in a couple of weeks ago, and about a week or 10 days ago I got a out of stock e-mail stating they would be getting some in stock soon. I was nervous at that point, but I guess they have shipped. I won't count my chickens until they are in my hot little hands though.
I just found the giga scallop circle and oval on Joann.com. I posted in the General Stamping forum, then someone else said they weren't there. Now they're back. Hurry, before they disappear again.
Ok, I was sooooooooo excited to see that J's had the scalloped punches that I went ahead and ordered the round and oval...Only to find out after I placed the order that they were the plain round ones. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........this is such a nightmare wanting something so bad that you THINK you see it....not to mention, I received and email with 50% off and online purchase of one reg priced item.. so I used it...but dummy me ordered both punches at a time but only got the discount on one of them..should have ordered them separately; could have saved another 7 bucks.....that is how MY nite has been...Can anyone top it????????????????lol
