If you look very closely at the top of the bottle you will see a "seam" where the tip is inserted down into the bottle. I just ran my fingernail around that seam to loosen it then took my pliers and pulled the tip off.
I inserted a ball head straight pin in the nozzle of my Glossy Accents and then put the lid back on. This seems to work for me and keeps it from getting clogged.

I do the same thing...stainless steel ball head straight pin and I store them (Glossy Accents, glitter glue, Perfect Pearls etc.) upside down and no clogging issues.

Oh my gosh, this sounds like the answer to a crafter's dream!!!! Thank you so much for sharing the link. I have already forwarded it to several crafty friends. I am headed out to look for silicone baby bottle nipples and 1/2" scotch tape.
I tried this a few months ago too, but the glossy accents dried in the nipple and still plugged. Yes, I used silicone nipples and I tried it on several different glues. You may have luck with it, but I gave away the unopened nipples and tossed the few I tried. I just make sure my nozzle isn't clogged before capping it.

I haven't had this issue! There was dried GA on the tip but rollling the nipple between my fingers dislodged it and we were good to go again. I stored my GA upright, on the base and the glue drained back into the bottle.
Jennifer McGuire had a great tip that has worked well for me. Hold bottle upright and Squeeze the bottle to get all Glossy Accents out of nozzle. Use a baby wipe to clean off tip and cap the bottle. Until I tried this, I was always struggling with a clogged tip.
I have tried the baby nipple approach and it works! But I also have consistently removed my GA tip (at the seam) after every application, rinsed it under hot water, replaced it on the bottle, and the solution runs perfectly the next time I use it.
Just using the needle to push down on all my tips has worked for me...until....I started using Goosebumps clear spray, nothing works. I have more than half a bottle. thinking of trying to find another bottle to put it in and see if I can salvage it.
Has anyone tried the fineline applicators I have heard great reviews but have yet to try it. It is on my blogs Amazon link in my sidebar would love to know if anyone has had any luck AliciaDelanoDesigns

LOL...funny I have one of those fine line applicators and have never tried it! I'm such a hoarder:rolleyes:! Better dig it out and give it a try and I'll try and get back to you on that.
I've tried the baby bottle nipple and it's wonderful!! You must get the silicone nipples. When you go to use it just "pinch" the tip of the nipple, you may need to run your fingernail just across the top by the hole if you bottle has set for a bit and VOILA! Instant glue. Love, love, love this ~ it's made my life a while lot easier.

I'm running...I'm running!! LOL Found it but.......First I'm concerned that the tip is stainless steel and Glossy Accents adheres to anything so I'm not sure how it would not stick to the steel even tho thee's that pin thing for the cap. Second ....I'm hoping that if it does clog the tip that I am going to be-able to remove it from the bottle. I'm trying it now and will let you know in a few days my results. Going to give it time to clog and harden if it's going to. Wish me luck!!
hobbysue, thank you as the Fineline bottles have been in my Amazon cart for a while now just waiting for this purpose! I am so done with Glossy Accents clogging I don't even use it anymore, so I might as well spend another 10 bucks to be able to salvage it.

When you are finish using the glue, hold the bottle upside down so that a drop of glue forms on the nipple which seals it so the next time you use it just pop the bead off the nipple tip and the glue works great.
I love the fine line applicators! I haven't tried mine with Glossy Accents, but I have with Tombow liquid and Scotch Quick Dry and haven't had a clog yet!
I have transferred my glossy accents to a fine line applicator bottle. I've only used it once but seems to work okay. I just did another sample and it was fine. I did have to squeeze the bottle a littler harder. I also put my multi medium matte in another fine line applicator; I'm not sure about it. It's thicker and I really had to squeeze to get it out. However, the bottle is only about half full so that could have been part of it.
I'm thinking that a fine line applicator is not going to work in the long run "for me" because I don't use it that often so it has a tendency to get thicker with age and won't want to flow through the tip. Most of the things I have with a fine tip applicator are thin liquids.
A while ago there was a long thread about the baby bottle nipples and a lot of people had some pretty bad experiences so I never tried. My stainless steel needle glued itself in the bottle and when I pulled it out the ball on the needle came out and the needle stuck in the bottle. ARRGH
Goosebumps is a cool product but wow oh wow does it clog and I tried to clean the spray nozzle after every use but it was so clogged I now just brush it on.
I'm going to try storing my GA upside down as it works well with stickles.
When you are finish using the glue, hold the bottle upside down so that a drop of glue forms on the nipple which seals it so the next time you use it just pop the bead off the nipple tip and the glue works great.
Exactly what I did. Still doesn't work for me. I just clean the tip before I close it so then it is ready to go next time.
Hobbysue I will not leave this computer until I find out the results ....or nature calls;)
:o:o
Well so far so good....mine has not clogged and is still working. I saw someone post about not using it very often and that when the glossy accents thickens it doesn't come out so I took another bottle to experiment with and just placed it on a shelf to be forgotten about. Watch I'll find it 2 yrs from now totally hard! LOL Any way....just got an email from Jennifer McGuire all about glue tips!
Hopefully this link will work. Video: No-Clog Fine-Tip Adhesive Solutions | Jennifer McGuire Ink
Wow that's a long link...maybe I did it wrong. Sorry....If it doesn't work go to Jennifer McGuires blog and search "video no clog fine tip".
I hope everyone finds their own personal solution that works for them!
I put the Precision tip applicator on my small glossy accents bottle over a month ago and am very happy with it. Used pliers to pull off the top and replace it as Jennifer shows in her video.

Grrrr! I've had Glossy Accents in two Fineline Applicators, and both eventually had the top pin come loose from the lid. When they work, they are a nice application tool, but I can't see myself going through applicators as if they were disposables. (Replacement tips can be purchased without the jar.) I'm wondering if I replace the needle too soon or if this problem is happening to others.
I've had some success with the hatpin in GA. I use a smaller pin and adhere the head to the inside of the GA lid; so it's always ready to re-insert.
I'm also using one of the applicators with some PPA glue and love having the pen-like application.
Incidentally, the Fineline Applicator can be found in the plastic model section of Hobby Lobby. (Think coupon.)
Wouldn't it just be so much easier if the Glossy Accents bottle came with a non-clog top?
Yes , but don't hold your breath they will design a tip like that . They would not sell as many replacement bottles of Glossy Accents because people could not get the glue out of the bottle they have LOL

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Fineline Applicators! I have about a dozen of them in use. I have used them for years and years and have never really had a problem. Please realize that they come in two sizes. There is an 18 gauge and a 20 gauge. The 18 gauge has a larger opening. I use this size for "thicker" glues. (is. Aleene's tacky, Scotch QuickDry, The ultimate, Sobo etc.) The 20 gauge has an iddy-biddy opening and I only use that for thinner glues or mediums. If you try to use a thick glue in the smaller bottle, you will be frustrated.
