Ok so if you are like me you sometimes are an impulse shopper.. and a while back I believe M's had these cute little sets of Modge Podge.. In it, it contains 5 bottles:
Sparkle
Gloss-Lustre
Matte Mat
Outdoor
and finally Paper
Now, uhm HOW do you use them?? As I said.. impulse shopper.. saw a deal and snatched figuring "oh I will use that for sure"

I use the matte modge podge over items I put paper on. I am working on wood mailbox right now. I use the modge podge on the paper to glue it down, and then a layer or 2 over it to seal it. It also gives it a nice finished look. I usually use the matte one.Sometimes the gloss one. HTH
I use the paper one for altering frames. I never tried the others.
maybe the outdoor one is rain-proof?

I use the mod podge for altered tins to give them a protective coating and finish them off, and those little art journals by SU with the chipboard covers.
My DD painted a birdhouse this summer and we used the outdoor one to seal. It took a LONG time to dry, but I think it is supposed to be weather proof for projects like that. We hung the birdhouse outside and it is looking good so far!
I've the Outdoor "Satin" Modge Podge and I use it for sealing (giving the finished item a 2-3 coats of modge podge) when altering wood items or making something that should have tolerance to water as the outdoor one is water-proof. Yes I spilled some water on an altered item to test it
Sometimes I also use it as a glue for sticking paper to large items like a composition notebook, etc.
I use Modge Podge to adhere paper to boxes, letters, etc. It's almost like glue and can also be used on top as a protectant as others have mentioned. I just bought some more last night and will use it to glue together the tops of mini calander pages.
I love love the sparkle one. I do lots of decoupage on boxes and use that to glue the pieces down.

Love Mod Podge - I have two projects (one a tutorial) being posted this week using it. I do not get warping or bubbles when I apply a very thin layer NOT to my paper but rather to what I am sticking the paper on, then smooth it out quickly with a little squeegee tool - tsukineko makes it. I am sure you could use a plastic spatula too, or anything like that, maybe even the edge of a cd case. The squeegee thing was like $3.
Check my blog out next week though for those projects - they are for DTs so I can't post them yet or I would love to show you - the tutorial has a picture of how I apply it.
