McGill Punches?

Has anyone used these? What I am wanting to know is, do they punch thru cardstock? They are on clearance at my LSS and will do till I order from SU

I have the Retro Word Tags and a couple of the snowflakes. I have not had any trouble punching SU cardstock.

I have a few mcgill punches as well and it punches through SU and PTI cardstock, but you have to press really hard on it :(

There is something called mcgill punch assistant. I almost thought of buying it, but then it is another tool to buy, so I did not get it. But that is another thing you might want to look at if you are buying mcgill punhces.

I have the retro word tags and it punches but it's a tough one. I keep thinking that there must be something I can do to make it punch a little easier.

I have the McGill Retro Word Tags punch - and I just can't punch it with my hands - so I put it on the floor and step on it! Works for me!

I had one of those, I found it hard to punch with hand, usually for those kind of punches I need to step on them, that is how I punch with my punch bunch punches as well (they are similar to McGill punches) . But they do punch through cardstock.

Just one thing in mind I am little less then 90lb, so stepping on a punch haven't broken any punch yet.

I never thought of standing or jumping on it--what a good idea! LOL. I returned my punch to the LSS because even my DH couldn't get it to go through one layer of cardstock! I wouldn't get it again.
