I spoke with a very sweet person at Marvy Uchida who gave me some great scoop...there soon will be scalloped punches in additional sizes! There will also be other shapes, too. She mentioned a heart.
Not sure if this is known or not, but I wanted to share!
alot of people,including me,ordered scalloped punches from QVC almost 2 weeks ago. They said they had them,but then they shipped the regular punches and said the scallops were on back order. When I called them they said it could be 2-3 weeks before they get them,IF at all. Why didn't they say they were on back order the night I orded them? I would've never placed the order. My local stamp store(well a 40 min drive) has them...I was just trying to save myself a trip!!! Plus I spend sooo much Money when I drive down there!!!! I thought they had a little counter of how many ordered and how many they had??!!! I was just really annoyed by it!
Thanks for the details, Iheart. I thought the Marvy person had mentioned a rectangle, but then I decided I was dreaming.
I think having the new sizes will be a lot of fun!
I know Uchida has been a bit overwhelmed by the response, but I can't express how delightful the customer service person was. It was really a good experience.

LOL! My thoughts exactly. If we can't get their current shapes, how the heck to they plan to keep up with the demand with new ones! I ordered a giga circle and giga square from a website back in February and just received word that those won't be available until the middle of April. They were kind enough to cancel my order and credit PayPal because I didn't want to pay for something that I wouldn't get for a couple months, and who knows if it would be more of a delay.
I don't think I'd be interested in the rectangle, but the heart sure sounds like something I may get!
You can get many of the punches at www.createforless.com for a really good price(except for the main, hard to find scallop giga oval and circle punches). You can also click a tab and ask for notification when the item is back in stock. I have done that before and it really works slick. Their price is worth waiting for.
I think the last time I looked the giga was $13.99 with free shipping for orders over $100.
I've done business with QVC for a long time and never had a problem. I called and asked what was up and was told they ship straight from the manufacter. They were told when they put these on the site that these were avalible but when they went to ship were told they were out.:rolleyes:

Guess we got two different people cause thats not what I was told. I called and emailed was told the same thing. Don't know why you are rolling eyes at me.......I was just stating what I was told.
I ordered mine straight from uchida. Although they are backordered, they said they may ship next week, and that people who order from their website are the first orders filled (before their external customers).
i didn't realize they were rolling eyes I thought it was aquerky smile sorry. I called qvc three times and was told the same thing each time. Sorry you got a differant expalintion. ;)

Yep...QVC is really on the ball...they just sent me an email that my regular circle punch had been shipped on the
15th...I received it last week on the 7th!!! I checked my order status thinking it was MAYBE my scallop punch...nope...its still on back order. Guess they are sending me another circle punch!
OMG! More scalloped punches?! Jeeeeeez! I only have one of these punches cuz that was all I could find locally!
