I'd love to hear the opinions of SCS-ers on Martha Stewart's paper crafting line of products... love or hate it? Good deal for the items? What is your favorite product?
I've seen the butterfly punch all over the gallery - looks great!
I have three of her border punches, her scalloped circle punch, two of her stackable pigment ink sets and her circle cutter. I have to say I have used and love them all, especially the circle cutter. Like the previous poster, I also think her paper is too thin. Seems her butterfly punch is popular. I'll buy it when it comes back into stock in my area.
I have the bat punch from last year and it's always worked well for me. I just bought some of her clear decoupage glue but haven't used it. Tho, the friend that recommended it said it wasn't as wet as Mod Podge (so the chipboard doesn't curl on her)....
Thinking about a few more of the Halloween punches.

Interested to hear what everyone thinks!
Love the punches, the cardstocks are thick and textured, ribbons are ok.... Paper is thin and very few designs that I would use in either scrapping or cards. Stamps are fine but on the expensive side, but then all of her line is higher priced that what it aught to be. You know, nothing in her line is gotta have or else!!!! She has a couple of border punches that I use often. I bought some of her ink pads, but wasn't thrilled.
Her glitter is to die for - nice and fine, beautiful colors - and it's very reasonably priced for the amount you get. Besides, it comes in the neatest shaker bottles (at least the ones at Michael's do).
I was hesitant to try the MS products. But when Walmart starteed carrying them, I decided to give them a shot. I have the opaque markers, big cutting mat and 2 of the border punches. I love them all! The quality is really good - really lives up to the MS name.
I'll agree with others about the papers. There's no indication on the packaging, but some are more "text weight" or even a touch lighter, and I've found that others are more tissue like, really really thin.
I've tried and loved the glitters. Nearly all of her product is EK Success or other major brands, just packaged for her line.
I like her punches, especially now that they're manufactured by Paper Shapers for EK Success. I have several of the older ones and use them often as well.
I also really, really like her Decoupage glue. It works wonderfully when adhering patterned paper to chipboard!
I like some of her stuff. The punches are nice. They're made by EK. the ribbons are good too. Paper, some have good patterns. It all depends on the need I think.
I bought the lace border punch, and returned it the next day because it didn't punch through cardstock and poorly through printer paper. I must have gotten a dud based upon all of the glowing reviews.
I have several punches and really like them. I tried the small clear alphabet set and was not too impressed with it. The letters seemed to have a mind of their own, but I'm not ruling out operator error either!
Love love love the border punches...they are so elegant. Havent tried any of the others...afraid to look...this hobby is becoming way to expensive...lol. At least I got the border punches with 40% off at Michaels.
Blessings.
I don't care for the paper or clear stamps. The paper is too thin and the clear stamps tear easily. I really like the punches and glitter. The lace border punch is really beautiful (stick it in freezer if you have trouble with heavier paper).

I have 3 punches and like them (bought with a coupon), but I don't like her paper, and her prices are too high. I also don't care for some of the projects like the crepe paper flowers, yew!!
I have 1 punch and love it! Stamps are good too. Her papers are ok- not the best but liveable. Her prices are way too high, I wait till her products go on clearance then I buy!
I have one of her pen sets which is nice, a couple of punches which are okay, and just bought some of her rhinestone bling sets (which are gorgeous). I really want some of her glitter though. Seems really pretty.

I have several of her punches and love them all. I have used her glitter as well. Haven't tried any of the other products. Been pleased with those I have used.

Don't know if I love them or hate them, because I just can't bring myself to purchase any of them. MS has always bugged me, from her show (who actually makes some of the things she makes - who has time?) to her jail time (I know, some say she paid for her crime, but I still think she got a slap on the wrist).
I feel like she must be a great business woman because she jumps on every fad there is (magazines, clothing, domestics, now crafting) and makes money off of it, but I don't like Donald Trump either, and I wouldn't but his craft supplies either!

I love AND hate my MS punches. I love her designs, and I do own several. I love them when they work well, but I hate that they don't always cut well through thicker cardstock.
So far I only own two MS products... punches that I love and an acrylic alphabet set which I detest! I will definitely be buying more of the punches. The designs are wonderful and they cut beautifully for me!
I'll be using the freezer trick for my Fiskars border punches that I just about have to stand on to get them to cut

I really haven't ventured there. Everytime I pass her stuff in Michaels, I think "too expensive", and I feel like it's priced like that just because of her name and I don't buy into designer names.

I love all of the punches I've bought and the glitter is FABULOUS! I've bought ribbon too and been happy with it. Pretty much that's what I've stuck to with MS . . . punches, glitter and ribbon and I'd recommend them all.
I bought the dual heart punch/embosser but I returned it. The embossing part didn't work that well. The best impression I got was when I used a piece of foil to sharpen it. Well even after that, the embossing pattern still did not transfer completely to the card stock. But, I do love the zig zag punch, the doily punch and the hydrangea (with the 3 sizes) punch. I haven't had any problems with those. I also have one of the stamp sets but I only stamped with it once and didn't like the impression I got so I need to play with it a bit more. And, I didn't pay full price because I used a coupon for each of these items.
I LOVE her bone folder. It has a dip for your index finger, now I only want to use that and not the stampin up one.

i have a set of markers and a few of her clear stamp sets that i bought on sale. love the markers and like the stamps. got all of it on sale or with a michael's coupon. prices are high.
Ummmmmm, on the love-hate scale, can I be in between? Have some of her things, and they work okay for me. But if I didn't have any of her stuff, I wouldn't cry.
I did not think I would buy her stuff but once M starting taking the coupons-I got the circle cutter-love it! Then tried her pnches-yes LOVE THOSE BUTTERFLIES!!!!! I got a few of her border ones-prefer the Fiskars but her's are not bad....
I have the MS clear alphabet set...Probably my worst crafting purchase EVER! I have a few spools of MS ribbon, bought because of the color. The ribbon is ok. But, I'm not likely to buy any more of her stuff...
