According to Tim Holtz, only Sizzix products should be used with the Vagabond because Sizzix products are calibrated specifically to work with Sizzix machines. Therefore, since Sizzix does not have a metal plate the last that I checked, that means you should not use a metal plate in your Vagabond. There are folks who use the metal plate with their Vagabond but I, for one, am not willing to risk damaging my Vagabond. I also have a BigShot, and I've used the metal plate in my BigShot but no guarantees there either that the BigShot would not be harmed.

DOH to me LOL. Yes, of course we can use the Sizzix magnetic PLATFORM. I didn't read the OP's post very well and when I saw plate' I was thinking of the metal plate (which is not magnetic) that folks use to get their intricate dies to cut better which is the plate that tim says we should not use in the Vagabond.
So, to answer correctly (thanks for keeping me straight haha), yes it is ok to use the Sizzix magnetic PLATFORM with your Vagabond and ALWAYS use your keys to check the thickness of your sandwich to ensure you're not putting a sandwich through that is too thick and could harm your Vagabond.

I swear I posted a thank you for sharing this link yesterday but I don't see it. Maybe I needed a nap, too. Anyway, I had been wondering if it was safe to use the magnetic platform in my Vagabond and Tim Holtz tells me it is safe. Thanks.
