I did a quick "test" on shipping and for 10 it worked out to about $10 so for the "nugget" boxes that would be about $3 each but then you certainly don't have to worry about customs/taxes across the border or 3 weeks shipping time. Hope this helps!

Isn't the picture they used from Nichole's blog? I couldn't find any credit given to Nichole for the pic. Interesting.

That link comes up as "Unknown Host". As does just typing the name of the site.
That is terrible. Just terrible. I would caution anyone from doing this sort of thing. It is blatent stealing.
When you are making your purchases, I would encourage you to keep in mind that the people who share freely and work hard to create beautiful projects that provide you with ideas should be considered when you are ready to shop.
Nichole actually coined the phrase "nugget box" and created that beautiful project for her company's website. Many of us sell tins and other alterables, however, reputable businesses do not steal each other's projects for promotion. This really makes me angry.
Please understand, I know that the OP is not at any fault here so please don't think that I harbor any bad feelings for anyone here at SCS. Not at all. That is the beauty of this place, sharing ideas, great stores, beautiful stamps and fabulous projects. Sharing is what we are all about. I just find it rude that someone who owns a business would steal a photo of a project that they didn't create. Why not create their own?
I would bet my life that Nichole did not give them permission to use that photo.
Bad, bad, bad...
Hugs,
Gina K.

I hear ya Gina. You know where I found that company site and those tins? Right here on SCS. They must be paying for advertising as it was a banner up on the top of the forums. So you would think that they would be legit if they are decent enough to pay for advertising but you just never know! I had thought of letting Nichole know (because she is my idol and I call her my Craft Martha! LOL) but then I thought I should just mind my own business. Glad someone else caught that too.
I would have a hard time sending them any money...
Hi Shannon. I know, I hear you on that too. I doubt I will be but when we do find Canadian companies it is so nice for us. My last Papertrey order cost me $23 shipping and $18 customs. But when it comes to Papertrey it is SO worth it for me. It's just that I know I would love to spend that $41 on something else. Having said that I would pay double for Papertrey so really what the heck am I even saying!! LOL! Do you think Nicole will think I am a stalker when I meet her on the cruise!?!?! heehee.
I know, it's easy for me to say that because I get her free shipping...I totally understand where you're coming from. I may be biased because my dad owns a business and I would rather spend more $$ do do business with someone who does things ethically.

Totally agree. My husband is from a small town in Manitoba and he loves to support the local stores when we go back. We can buy jeans and shoes etc cheaper here in Calgary but that doesn't matter because we know we are helping out his hometown people. Does your dad have anything I 'need' to buy? If it's a craft store...I am there! LOL. Do you think someone should let SCS know about this? Do you know any of the mods well enough to contact them? That site does (or at least did) have a banner advertisement on SCS which is how I discovered it.
Thank you so much Willow01 for finding this company that I saw here on SCS
advertise banner. I know how you feel ladies when I saw nichole tin on this site I was very surprised and wondered what to do. I love papertrey stamps, tins and bags I just don't like paying customs and waiting so long! But after looking at the site I don't know if I should buy from them? And reading your comments I not sure now??? I agree Willow01 is nice to have Canadian companies too.

I just want you to know that I was just on the Papertrey forum and under one of the General heading there is a subforum titled "shipping to Canada" or something like that. The administrator (Rick, I think) says that you are able to select First Class International shipping to Canada and it is much cheaper. I think he said it was like $5.50 for 1 lb. I don't know how many pounds you're last order was ;) , but you might want to check out the info he provided on the forum. It might make it more reasonable for you.
I was just at the site I don't see nichole tin there anymore unless I'm not looking at the right spot?
I didn't see it either when I went after I read the thread. They probably took it down. All I saw was the tin gallery and it had 5 samples in it that didn't look like Nichole's.
Yep, Nicholes photo is gone from that site. I admit my orders have all been $23 because all of them have been over 5lbs......but I can't help it!! LOL. Its really the taxes thru the customs that bugs me to no end. I know for a fact that Papertrey isn't making money off our shipping but our gov't sure is by taxing our orders over the border.
So good, I am glad all is well and we can put this thread to bed!
I am making a note of who this company was and they are not getting my business! I am hurt for her, and just read her blog. She is very unhappy about it and rightfully so. It ticks me off! I loved Gina's mad smiley guy by the way!

OH No! Poor Nichole! I feel so bad for her. And if you know me you know that I am a PTI addict and her Number 1 fan!! I guess I should have said something to someone when I saw that days ago but to be honest I figured since they were advertising on SCS that it must be ok and who am I to be a "tattletale" on someone. Yikesa, I feel like I messed up.
You mean no-one else can sell these tins?? is that not allowed?? i'm confused..loves ya
No Gail....what happened was that company used Nicholes photo of one of her nugget box projects straight from her website to use it to sell the tins. Therefore using it to make a profit when they didn't have a right to use the photo. It's all good now...the photo was removed. I for one will never take seeing these things lightly again. And I regret ever posting that link.
Well I did ask you for that link ...........? I didn't think it would upset scs members but I do agree that the picture of nichole tin should not of been used that wasn't right!
I was curious after I read Nicole's blog last night to find what site stole her picture and found this thread. I clicked on the link for that store, but couldn't find a picture that I recognized as Nicole's. Did they take it off?
Specialty Bottle does have the tins at a good price. However, they are on back order till the end of November now. I ordered over a week ago--they called within a day to tell me they are on back order till the beginning of November, then got a call yesterday saying till the end of November. They did ask if I wanted to keep on order, and my credit card would not be charged until they ship.
When I talked to them the first time, they did say they have received a lot of orders lately. (I saw the info on the tins on another scrapbooking/card making board)
I am able to wait till the end of November--so doesn't bother me. I also appreciate their customer service keeping me up to date.
Just thought I'd pass this info along.
