Most of the time when I try to print a sentiment from my computer onto cardstock, the background gets somewhat greyish - as in it gets some light black flecks on it. I hope what I'm saying is making sense. So the cardstock, after printing, is no longer the bright white. This never happens with a copy paper. Has anybody else had this issue or knows whats happening here? I use a laser printer and the cardstocks I've tried are - Papertrey Ink 110lb and Crafter's companion 80 lb.
My laser printer HP CP1525nw doesn't like it when I use cardstock (even on the heavy cardstock setting) Sometimes it prints (it does better with lighter weight cardstock) and sometimes it leaves streaks that remain when I print later. (one or two more prints).
I use my laser printer constantly...using text weight, 28lb., 32lb., 65lb. and 110lb. with no issue. If Igdt streaks iit's because toner may hzve spilled....try cleaning your printer following manufacturer description.

What printer are you using? I'm wanting to buy a laser printer, I'd like one that can handle heavy cardstock.

When you go to print go to your printer properties (on the print screen) and see if it has an option for different weights of paper. I was having this issue when I tried to print on watercolor paper. When I found that I could change the setting for the paper weight it took care of my problem.

Sometimes this happens to me when I download then print images from Google search, etc. I believe it is due to the way the images were posted, not the paper you are using. Also, if the images were originally on cream or light colors, that would be transmitted as "dots" on a black and white re-print. Looks good, then prints not-so-good. Frustrating as heck 'cause you can't tell until it actually prints.
Check your printer properties to see if you have the option to adjust what kind of paper you are using. I had this problem when I was trying to print some digi images on watercolor paper. When I adjusted the printer to a heavy cardstock the problem went away.

Hmm the sentiments I print are what I created in Word.

I looked around a little bit on the printer settings but didn't see any place to set the paper type. Maybe I should google search to see if my printer allows that.
