If you've been wanting the Janome Sew Mini, it goes on sale for a fabulous price of only $39.99 on Black Friday, 11-25 to 12-7, at Hancocks.
I've never personally seen the machine at my Hancocks, so it may be better to try to order it online, or call your store first to see if they have it in stock.
This really is a great deal on the machine. The regular price is $79.99!

It really is a good little machine. I've currently lost mine to my daughter, who borrowed it to sew clothes for her kids. She had never used a sewing machine before and just loves it. Sigh, I will probably not see it again. Maybe I should buy myself another one while it's on sale, lol.

Great enabler!!! I'm curious to see just how easy this machine is, I have never sewn on a machine before and I don't know the 1st thing about them!!! Nice to know your daughter was new to it too! On another post about these machines someone posted a tutorial from Gina that takes you from beg. to end! I really like the look of sewing on cards so I'm hoping i can get the hang of this!!
Sounds like you should buy yourself an early Christmas gift!!!!
Connie, what my daughter especially likes about the Sew Mini, is that it just has one speed when you push the pedal. It doesn't go too fast, and goes the same speed no matter how you use your foot on it.
She had tried to use my big Singer sewing machine in the past, and said she felt like it was "running away" with her when she pushed the pedal, because it has varying speeds depending on how far you push the pedal down.
The Sew Mini is just easy - nice and steady. Great for a beginner. Also, those tutorials from Gina K are very helpful.
Have fun when you get it!

I still like my Brother machine. It has a 3-speed setting so it doesn't go too fast on the pedal when you don't want it to. I have a thrift store Singer machine that I still need to tune up for paper crafting though.
I bought a Janome mini not too long ago on Overstock.com (o.com). I wanted a small sewing machine specifically to sew paper and wanted one with zig-zag stitches. It's very easy to use and best of all I got it for a great price - about $30 bucks.
