Default This ink pad is not worth buying....

it's the new Autumn Leaves Stampology ink in onyx (black). Pretty awful. I thought I'd seen a recommendation somewhere. Was in WM yesterday to look at the new stuff and picked this up. Their "exclusive special formula for clear stamps" (label on the case) just doesn't cut it. The black was not black - more of a medium grey. I didn't think my clear images looked that clear, and it had a really strong odor. Just my opinion, of course. Anyone else picked this up?

Molly

ITA! I bought this a couple weeks ago but just opened it this weekend. What a waste of money! The package says "will not bead or bleed" - pffft! Whatever. It produced the worst images I've ever had, even from my high-quality clear stamps that usually stamp perfectly. And it definitely looks gray, not even close to black. Complete ripoff.

I wouldn't hesitate to contact the company and complain. They need to know about it.

I agree or return it to Wal-Mart for a refund. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I got it too, was not that impressef either, it looks really pale, not black more greyish. I did like the color ones though. I wanted to try them because no matter what I do with my clear stamps I cannot get good images with SU inks! I am trying everything and anything!

I bought this, too. I figured for $1.97 how could I go wrong? It stinks exactly like Stazon, in my opinion. And I don't like the color or the coverage. Guess I'll dig out the slip and return it to Walmart. Anyone else going to join me in this?

For clear stamps, I have found that Chalk inks work best, and also the Tsuniko inks... there is something with the formulation for some clear stamps that do not work with SU classic. BUT... they do work well with all other stamps. I think there is a thread on this topic.

I must be working with some really horrible ink pads then, because the Stampology has been the best I've worked with my acrylics so far, best stamped images I've done, however I definately agree with more of a grey image than black...

I've only used the CTMH ink with my clear stamps and never had a problem.

Wink

Sorry for your disappointment; thanks for the heads-up. I'll learn from your lesson and avoid this ink pad.
