Default I'm Scor-It Challenged!

My husband bought me the Scor-It for Christmas and I just broke it out this past weekend and I am Scor-It challenged! After I score and fold my paper, it isn't even - one side is at least 1/8 inch or more longer than the other side (once folded). I'm using the "stop guide" and still no luck. What am I doing wrong? Is there a learning curve I need to get past? Any help/ideas/suggestions are welcome!

Thanks in advance,
Brenda

I don't think there is much learning curve. Off-hand, I would suggest getting out a level and making sure that the middle ridge is actually straight. If it is, just keep playing with it. I always make sure to keep my non-writing hand at the top, holding the paper flush. Good luck and HTH! (I love the scores of my ScorIt!)

On another thread I also read to turn it upside down and score towards the ruler. I've been doing that and it comes out even every time.

Exactly what she said! I love my Scor-It and I know you will too!

I so want one, I just haven't ordered one yet. I'm trying not to spend too much and I just placed a large SU order. Ah the agony of waiting!

I love the score lines of the Scor-it, but hate how hard it is to get the paper even. I am much happier with my Scor-Pal.

I agree with scdecker. The Scor-it makes much nicer lines but harder to line up. Scor-Pal is much easier to use.
