I know people have talked about the Cricut machine!
BUT OMGosh I LOVE it. I nagged my hubby to death and went and got one Saturday night! I have done 6 scrapbook pages with it and had to go get another cartridge to play some more!! I cant see myself ever using the Sizzix again!!
I am having a slight problem with the Mini Monograms and the dotted and stitched with SU paper. It seems to rip it a little so I am off to go play around with numbers on it!!
SOOO excited! It is just sooo cool!

I so agree. My dh got me one for Christmas and then I was able to get the cartridges for $39.00 at a special sale, I bought eight of them and I am just going crazy. I have never had a tool that I love as much as this one. I can't believe how much I have used it already. I am totally in love with a bug -lol. Glad you are enjoying yours as well.
Just an FYI about the Cricut-it dosn't like fibrous paper very much as it tends to dull the blade. So even though Bazzill paper is wonderful cardstock you might not want to use it too much or you will be replacing the blade more often. You might try the Treasures paper by Worldwin. Still has the texture without ruining your cutting blade.

Have you tried using the SU! Stampin Mist and baby wipe trick to clean the mat - it made my very 1st mat all sticky again... Don't know any tricks to help the blade but at least save a little $$ with the mist & wipes!! HTH
I use replacements pads really fast. Wish there was some way to make it sticky again instead of getting a new one.
I apply repositionable adhesive on my pads when they lose stickiness. And it works just like new. I particularly use Fiskars Glue Pen. I just apply the glue on each line of the grid of the pad, then let stay for a few minutes so the blue becomes repositionable.
I have to agree with you. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Cricut. I have 8 cartridges now and I might be getting another one from my kids for my birthday tomorrow. I use it ALL the time. My scrapbooking has become more simplified and they still look awesome! I finally just started using my 2nd mat after having this for a little over a month and a half. The main thing is to remember to cover it with the plastic sheet right after you are done using it. Also, don't leave your cardstock on there too long. All I use is SU's cardstock and patterned paper. I did change my blade once but I don't even think I needed to. Really for the amount I use it I don't mind investing a few bucks every month or so. I can use it for soooo many things.
I agree! If I have to spend a little more now and then on blades and mats it is totally worth it! My daughter has a school project coming up and we cant wait to do it now with poster board and the 5" letters!! My husband realized after we showed him all the different heights and the different shapes and alphas on one cartridge that it was worth the money for the machine and the cartridges (especially since it is not only for my scrapping but for homework projects too!!!!)
good tips about the mat-I actually threw away the plastic..oops-didnt think I needed it. I will have to remember for the next one i get!

Oh yes! I can see my kids using this for many projects in the future. I'm thinking about making a huge family bulletin board at home. The Doodlecharms cartridge is perfect for that.
I'm so excited because my DH is on his way to the store right now to pick up my present. Hmmmmm, it might be the All Mixed Up or Tear Drop cartridge I mentioned 5 minutes before!!!
WOW! My DH bought me a cricut last night! I got 3 cartridges to go with it! I had so much fun with it. I read the links for it and they were alot of help, so i was able to run it with no problems. Thanks everyone!!
I have heard a lot about the cricut and the cuttle-bug...can anyone explain to me what the difference is in the 2, and if anyone recommends one over the other...I live in a small Canadian northern town wher we have no stores that sell fancy gadgets of any kind, let alone these. They sound really great, but I just want to do my homework before making a trek south to the city.
Love my Cricut!! What is anyone's opinion about the Tags and Boxes cartridge? Can't make up my mind if I need it or not. I have Sissix tag dies and some punches. I can get if on sale for $50.00. Is is worth investing the money in?? Thanks
I LOVE that cart - use it quite a bit!! esply the shopping bag!! it makes the perfect holder for 3x3 cards and envies!! and I can even add in a mini gel pen! and I use the tags to make tags for journaling - can layer easily too!! gotta love that!
Supergal777 on Ebay usually sells hers for $50 plus $5 shipping. She also throws in a free set of blades. You just have to watch for her auctions. She will put up 18 at a time and they will be gone within a few hours. I got a few from her this weekend and one already arrived!!
I love the tags and bags cartridge although on the cricut board a lot of people don't like it because the boxes aren't very big. I think this cartridge will be really cool when they come out with the cricut that cuts 12x12. Anyway it is one of my favorites. I particularly like the little popcorn box. In regards to tearing I haven't had any big problems as long as I adjust the speed and pressure dials. This is just such a great machine that I use for cards and school projects often.
