Default I don't know which type to buy!

Ok, so I like circles and especially scalloped circles on cards I see in the gallery.

I have a cricut and a cuttlebug but I don't know whether its better to buy:
Punches,
Nestabilities
or Coluzzle

I was thinking maybe the coluzzle circles and the nestabilities scallops??

When using nestabilities does it cut and emboss all in one go?

Thanks! Would love any advice on what you think I should get!

I would say the Nestabilities are the way to go! It's the best deal for your money and it takes up a lot less storage space than punches.

When using the Nestabilities or any other Spellbinders die you make one pass to cut and then another to embossing using the tan embossing mat from Spellbinders. If you do a search on you tube for Spellbinders there are a couple of videos showing exactly how to use the Spellbinders dies in other machines. HTH!

I love punches because they are so easy and convenient to use BUT, they're expensive and take up SO much room! I've bought several sets of Nestabilities and I'm using them more and more now; it took some time getting used to the 'sandwich' layers and switching plates for cutting then embossing; now that I'm used to it, it goes much faster!

I would not get the punches. I did and had buyers remorse right away. A few of them would not work right and the company was not interested in helping me. The place I bought them from did not take them back either. I am now collecting the nesties.

If you are looking for scallops I would recommend the nesties. I love my coluzzles, but the scalloped edges are not easy to cut - the plain edges however are (once you get the hang of it ~ there is a bit of a learning curve). The coluzzles are very inexpensive and one nested template has several sizes on it for $6-8 (I think - it has been a while...)

Thanks so much everyone!! I am thinking maybe about getting the $76 set with the 40% off coupon from cut at home site?

Thanks!

there was a thread a while ago about making nestabilities shapes with your cricut. one lady mentioned which shapes were on each cartridge. i'm getting the storybook cartridge, which i believe, is capable of making the squares, circles, ovals, and rectangles, and well as the scalloped shape of each.
