Talking I Bought a Cuttlebug!!!

I was at Michaels last night (took 3 coupons with me!) and bought a Cuttlebug, a heart template and 2 - embossing folders (or whatever they're called).

Can you believe that I haven't even taken it out of the box yet??

I'm going to be playing with it tonight.

If you have a cuttlebug, what are your favorite thingy's for it???

So did it come with anything else in the box or is it just the machine??

I'm so curious to find out...guess I should go open mine!

Default Cuttlebug

Got mine last week. It only comes with the machine. I have the Divine Swirls Embossing folder & the Happy Birthday Embossing folder so far. I also bought the flower die & the tiny tags die. I used the flower die to make those adorable big clippies in the gallery. Sooo cute! My local Michaels doesn't have much of a selection right now so I may have to go online and order some assessories-especially for embossing. Enjoy your new toy.

I love my bug....have had it for several months. I was wondering if any of you used or are thinking of using medium weight white chipboard (you might have seen the threads for ordering)? This is my chipboard of choice since I like that it is thicker and so white! But my poor bug felt it was too tight a fit and I snapped both 2 B plates (I'll be gluing those tonight with crazy glue). I may have to go back to using thinner chipboard.....

all I have so far is 4 embossing folders-thanks, happy birthday, swirls & flowers. I want to get some flowers to make the big clippies too!

Bellemare I SO hope this cheers you up by playing with your new toy !!! I remember when my son was deployed I was not a happy camper at all. and I wasn't into card making or altering things 3 yrs ago. I had my girls to keep my spirits up tho. and now that he is out of the reserves (8yrs) he is home and living close by. I am sure you will keep busy making all kinds of pretties to send to your hubby! he is just gonna love to see what you are making with your new toy !

Default Sorry about my kinda negative post!

Gee, sorry about my posting....this was supposed to be a positive, happy cuttlebug thread! I do love my bug. But it's just an issue with thicker chipboard for me! You will enjoy it. I love using it for tags and buttons (when I can't find the perfect color) and flowers. I know lots of people love the embossing folders. I have quite a few, but I'm more of a die cut girl!!

I'm still jealous that your Mike's let you use 3 coupons for 3 items! Our usually let you use ONE per shopping trip!

COOL BEANS about getting the cuttlebug! they look so neat!

I love mine. I use it alot. I run my QK and Sizzix through it too. I love their embossing folders and if you have the old Fiskars texture plates, you can run them through, too. Have fun playing. The cuttlebug alphas are cool. I have the Scripty one. It's cool.

Micheal's coupons are in the Sunday paper...usually every other week. It's a pullout ad. There was one today, so there won't be one next week. Run out, get a paper fast!

Well...I played with my Cuttlebug. I only bought one die set--the set of 4 flowers. Made lots of them. Michael's really doesn't have a good selection...so I'm going to buy some more online. But so far, so good. As I was playing, I realized that I have a nice ellison die cutter at work (I'm a teacher) that I use for school stuff all the time. I can't believe I've never considered using it for stamping stuff. I'm taking some cardstock to school tomorrow! Woo hoo!

Question, here seems a good place -- can I use the Cuttlebug embossing plates with my Sizzix? I am not interested in their die cuts so far, so am hesitant to shell out the bucks (even with a coupon) if I can use the embossing plates....
