I was wondering how everyone likes the new In-Colors. They look really neat in the catalog, but I haven't seen them IRL yet. I like the looks of these better than last year's colors, but I don't know if I want to invest in the new ink pads and paper.
I love them all! Guava and Pomegranate are probaly my favorites, but I'll be stocking up on all of them before they're gone.

They are beautiful this year. I liked last year's - especially Cool Caribbean. I think I'll use this year's more broadly though -- especially pomegranate and wasabi...
I do like the colours and to answer your question about whether to invest in the ink pads and the whole issue, I only got the paper. I have found enough of all the other inks are close enough for the most part. I'm not a demo, nor am I into 'competition' , I create what I like and find the paper fabulous, inks not essential for what I do.
Thanks everyone! I think I might wait until SAB (I know, a long ways away.... ) and get the paper, maybe an ink pad or two (I don't have a bunch of ink), and also buy one of the new stamp sets. I always like the SAB sets, although I never seem to use them much after the initial excitement....I guess I should bring them out more!!!
I bought all of last year's in colors. I like the marigold and ended up using that for several projects. They thyme, cranberry and carribean got minimal use. But the buckaroo and vintage violet were just too greyed out/dull for me. I couldn't get them to work in any project I tried. I have a feeling that I will be getting rid of those in the near future.
But on the other hand I LOVE this year's colors. I bought the variety pack (6 sheets of all 6 colors) of the cs and I have already dipped into each one. I especially love the bayou, sky and wasabi colors. I know the river rock is going to soon be another favorite.
While I loved last year's colors from the get go, this year's are growing on me. Still not crazy about the guava, but there is still time for that to grow on me too.
I have them all and I love them all. ONe week my favorite is purely pomgranate, and now this week it's been soft sky!!

I thought I loved all the colors until I got to see the cardstock and ink together. Bayou Blue isn't as wonderful as I thought in the cs and the ink looks like navy to me. My absolute least favorite color is Groovy Guava. It is not a clean, clear color - it's really dull clay. And the guava ink is a dark, ucky Maui mud color....this was a not a good use of stamping $ for me. :(
Sky Blue, Wild Wasabi, River Rock and Pomegranate are FABULOUS and even better in real life. I'm very glad to have them in my cardstock arsenal and I suspect they will become favorites.
i am in love with wild wasabi. It's gorgeous!! I am enjoying all of the colors so far but having a hard time coordinating with the groovy gauva. But I think I need to play with it more. I bought the color family pack so I could test the colors out. I also bought the inks. I used my hostess $$ to buy them though.
I love them all. The river rock seems to "change" tones to go with whatever you are using. The Pomegranate is ok. I wish it was a little more red than purple but it's really nice!
I have all the new In Colors in ink, cardstock and the ribbon and love them all! I am finding myself turning to these new colors at every turn...I can find a way to use the in colors every day...but that's just me...my least favorite of the colors is Groovy Guava...but it pairs nicely with the pomegranate so I tend to use those together...I use the Guava less than the others but still use them all! I love them! Just my opinion on the matter...I like these better than last years colors.
If your a demo that does workshops. Then i would buy them now instead of waiting. Because you will get more use out of them. If you wait till sell a bration time then you will only have a few months left to demonstrate them. I would get a couple now and try them. But if your a hobby demo then it wouldn't matter. Because then your just buying them for you and not your customers to see and buy. Hope that makes sense.
While I loved last year's colors from the get go, this year's are growing on me. Still not crazy about the guava, but there is still time for that to grow on me too.
ditto!

Well I'm in love with Groovy Guava - esp paired with creamy caramel/soft sky in beach type scenes.
However I too don't want to shell out $43.5 for ink pads (Canadian here, sigh). So I'm buying spots to make my own in color spots with reinkers --- there is currently a bulk buy offer on spots in the BST forum.
How long do we have to get all the new in colors? Is it December 31st or do we have until June of 08.? I still need to get a few, well maybe more than a few packs of paper.
I love the new colors! I didn't get Wild Wasabi or River rock, but got the rest and all their stamp pads. I especially like Blue Bayou and Soft Sky. They are beautiful together!
Didn't like last years colors and didn't buy any. It helped to see the colors in person at my Demo's house and then I couldn't resist them!!

I LOVE the Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomagranete and Soft Sky. I also use the River Rock and Blue Buyou but I do not like the Groovy Guava. I cannot get this color to look good on a card.
I made markers out of my re-inkers and always am grabbing Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomagranete to use on my x-mas cards. I will be stocking up on these colors!!
I only bought the paper this year, because I just don't like making investments in things I won't be able to buy for very long. I did discover that four of the colors I can use another ink color and get a result that's "close enough" so I'm not going to be getting the ink pads.

with last months designer paper sale, I purchased the new colors of dp
soft sky, and groovy guava. this site and the card combos sold me on these two colors and who wouldn't like purely pomegrante, I'm not sure about river rock and wild wasabi. Not being a demo, I can wait and see what everyone comes up with in the gallery and decide from there. there have been some nice combo, but not sure if I will buy many ink pads.
