Default How to label ink pads in ink pad holder

Hi everyone!

I just purchased an ink pad holder from Organize More, and most of my ink pads are not from SU or a company that labels the ink pad color on the front edge of the pad....so I was wondering if anyone has any creative ideas on how I can label or identify the color ink pad in each of the compartments.

Thanks!

Are any of the sides of the ink pads visible or are they in a drawer (sorry I'm not familiar with the organizer you are using). I bought a few new Brillaince and Stazon pads recently and they came with teent tiny little blank white labels that you could write on them, then stick on the side of the ink pad. Maybe you can use any kind of blank white labels and cut them very small and stick them on the sides of your ink pads.

I like the idea of the labels, nice and easy! They are not in drawers, they are visible.

I use a Dymo labelmaker to label all my ink pads. I have the organizemore.com ink pad holders as well - LUV 'EM! I store them all upside down, so I made sure the labels are upside-down on the ink pad.

I use my label maker and, since it's 1/2" wide tape, I cut the tape in half to make two narrow strips to fit the smallest edge. With all my odd-sized pads, I usually put the label on an end and on a side, so no matter how the pad winds up being placed in the holder, I can see a label. If possible, it's also great if you can stamp a tiny image in that ink color right on the label...it helps give you a great visual to find the pad you want faster.

I use my Dymo labeler also. Works great! Here you can see mine labeled and stored in my Stampin' Things unit.
