Default Help with ink pad glue??

I was wondering what type of glue I should use to adhere the inkpad back on to its base...one of my stampin' spots and one of my cat's eye chalkers have come off. I tried a hot glue gun for a temporary fix but I knew that it would need to be done correctly...What glue works best for the wet ink surface??

Thanks for your help!!

I've used rubber cement on inkpads and never had another problem with them.

I used it on a brand new, really juicy SU chocolate chip pad, and it's still holding 18 months later.

Default Reattaching Ink Pads

I had a problem with a couple of my Cats Eye pads a few years ago so I contacted Clearsnap. They suggested Super Glue and it worked great. Have used it on other pads as well. Just wipe off the base, apply a couple of drops of super glue, place ink pad on base, using a couple of layers of paper towels push down on ink pad to assure a good attachment.

I've used Liquid Glass (Crystal Effects) for the cat's eyes that have come off. I do wish it wouldn't happen in the first place though.

One more thing....I wish they made ink refills for Cat's Eyes. I love those little ink spots, but they do eventually dry out.

The re-inkets for the full size pads will work on the Cat's eyes. Just make sure you use the correct ink. chalk for chalk and pigment for pigment.

Great glue for this job is Gorilla Glue. You want the brown coloured one. It actually needs misting with water to activate the glue, so is perfect for any gluing like inkpads. Someone here recommended it to me when I had a DI inkpad come off it's base. I'd tried other glues, and they didn't hold. This one has held for two years now!
