I used the Crop-o-dile for the first time at a Make and Take at Archivers over the weekend. Believe me, it was love at first use!! LOL I did get the email from Joann's about the 50% off coupon but it's already on sale so will wait for another 50% coupon. Not sure if my HL or Mike's carries it...I have both of their 40% coupon. I'm just going to wait it out, I guess.

Mike's does carry it........that's where I got mine. I was shocked when I walked through the Making Memories area and there it was. I had seen a thread earlier on it and just had to try it. IT'S AWESOME!!!!! My DH loves it and of course had to play with it.......
I have the MM eyelet setter and had to get the Click-it because the pounding was too loud and the Click-it was a little quieter, but now with the Crop-a-dile.........I can set eyelets all night long.
Definately worth the money...........but make sure you have a coupon!!!!!

You ladies don't have to wait with the Joann's 50% off thing.....It just automatically takes the 50% off the regular price, it doesn't matter that it's on sale. Hope that helps, go order away!!!

Just be careful. At my LSS crop last month we had the following issues:

-1 broke because the eyelet setter used was too small and the eyelet got stuck. Removing it pulled the eyelet setter out of the cube,
-1 was temporarily damaged (requiring someone to fix it), the springy setter got pushed inside the cube and would not come out, some prying eventually pushed it back out,
-my own got dented because I used the rounded snap setter instead of the flat when the snap was slightly rounded (it was a memories r us snap - no instructions on package).

Why? Because none of us took the cardboard backing with the instructions as to which ABCD/1234 went with which snap/eyelets. I do love the C-A-D but when 3 out of 6 used break, you've gotta wonder as to the quality/durability....

Thank you for sharing your story Marina - I will definitely pull out my directions when using it to set eyelets. I have only used it to punch paper - haven't had the time to do the other fun stuff yet. and it is AWESOME when it comes to punching!!! I posted a little cardstock ring with directions on how to line things up on my blog. HTH's someone out there who may not know about the settings for getting your punches in the same place each time.

i actually bought mine on the joannes website yesterday and it was on sale for $21 and the coupon worked anyways. I just got the # off the online coupon, entered it in the coupon section and it worked, viola, 50% off. it came to $13 something, but shipping was $7, so if you can get it half off 'in store' then i think you can get a better deal.

Whoa!! $7 for shipping!! I might just check out the store and use my 40% off coupon...That's great to know that they will still honor the coupon even if on sale. Thanks!!

I did check at Hobby Lobby and they have it for $24.95. With the 40% off coupon it would be a great deal  and no shipping!!

Just for what it is worth, and I haven't gotten a crop-a-dile yet, but one time I was in Joanne's and they wouldn't let me use the coupon when something was on sale! However, Michaels will accept Joanne's coupons, so will have to wait til I am somewhere where there is a Michaels.

I bought my crop-a-dile in May. LOVE IT!!!!!! My husband FREAKED. "$30 bucks for plyers!!!!! " he said. (silly boy) He has lost a few pounds, so I went and got his favorite thick leather belt......put 2 new holes in it for him, said "there you go SWEETHEART!" He said.....WOW!! Rarely does he question me any more on anything I buy. I love being able to punch through and set eyelets in 3 paperbags folded over to make books. A friend, also a demo, borrowed mine to use for a paperbag book class of 12, also all the use I had out of it, still like new! For setting eyelets on scrapbook pages, I use our Crafters tool kit, because the crop-a-dile only reaches into the cardstock 1 inch. (not a big deal for me)
In my opinion, it is so worth it!! I know you is gonna love it!! lol

I just got this the other day at Michaels with my 40% off coupon. Wouldn't you know it, ACMoore has a 50% off coupon for this week. I got it because it says it'll cut through leather, wood, tin. I got it for me but I figured if my DH said anything about it, I'd tell him he can use it for his scout stuff, too.

I got mine last month and I LOVE IT !!! I'm going to the Lansing Regionals and plan to put eyelets in my swaps, something I would NEVER have considered before. It's so easy and quick. Two big hairy thumbs up from me !!!

Take care.

After reading this thread I ordered one from Joann's. It was $20.99 and after I had an order of $25 the shipping was free!! It arrived yesterday and I am looking forward to taking it out and using it this weekend.

Just used it for the first time last night (setting basic eyelets). Wrecked two eyelets figuring it out (I don't follow directions well), but after I got it going I thought it was pretty cool. MUCH quieter!

Oh yeah, and if you want more reviews, although the title isn't actually about it, there's LOTS of talk about the Crop-A-Dial in this thread:

Mine works great. I would reccomend it especially if you have a ton of eyelets that you've had sitting around because other ways of setting them has been too much of a pain. Of course I wouldn't know anything about that....

What I like about it is that I can punch holes AND set eyelets and snaps without needing to change tips, etc., like some of the other eyelet setters that I own. ;)

And it's pink!

I have it and love it. It really is so cool when you want to set eyelets across an edge because you can set the depth with the little guide and each eyelet will be set in the same spot without drawing a line or measuring.

The only down fall I have heard is that you cannot set an eyelet in the center of a card or layout. They are not super deep so they would have to be set more so on the perimeter of the paper or card...

I finally broke down at got this yesterday with the 50% off coupon in CANADA, it was then $20 plus tax. My 8 year old daughter and I were getting good use out of it last night....wish I got it sooner.

You people are so bad - forcing us all to spend, spend, spend...posting your reviews on products allows many others to buy with confidence. Thanks!

The Crop-A-Dial is a wonderful tool. Don't know how I did without it!

Use it to punch holes (2 sizes) in almost anything.

Use it to set eyelets effortlessly and quietly!

Get it with a 40% coupon. You will not be disappointed!
