Default Has anyone ... Cuttlebug

Has anyone bought the Cuttlebug just mainly for the embossing folders. I LOVE all the embossing folders, but I'm not that big on die cuts. So I would really like to get the Cuttlebug, but know I wont be using the machine to its full potential. What do you think, would that be silly to buy it just for the embossing folders?

That is what I use it for 99.9% of the time. I love the look, texture and dimension that the bug gives BG. Totally worth it I think.

Thanks Shanon, but I'm in Canada, no Joanne's here and online doesnt ship to Canada. I have found a decent Canadian website that I may purchase from ... I would rather give them my money than the big box store Michaels ... Michaels just bothers me ... especially all the sales staff who dont have a clue ... (for the most part). Anyway, I think I'll be getting one real soon!

The embossing folders are what first drew me to the Cuttlebug. I only have one die set to make the slider tags. I love it - the embossing folders are more than enough for me right now and are totally worth buying the CB for (and it's even better if you can buy it on sale!) ~M

I mainly emboss with mine. I am slowly acquiring dies to cut, but embossing is my favorite way to use the 'bug!

Embossing is the best part of the Cuttlebug. (Don't tell my alphabets! They'll be sad!) Totally worth it just for embossing.

No, not silly! I got a few of the die cuts,,,, but I LOVE embossing with the Cuttlebug. The results are fantastic and instant. What more could you ask?
Yes, buy when it's on sale or with a 50% coupon. Why pay $80 when you can get it for $40?

I love it for embossing and have almost all the embossing folders....

you will find that you will be drawn to the diecuts - especially the tag and slider ones....love them

one suggestion - when you buy your machine - go ahead and buy and extra set of B plates (I always buy a set when I have an extra % off Micheals coupon because I do use diecuts ALOT so I go through the B plates because as you diecut you etch the plate which makes it weaker overtime and it can crack - although if you just get a small crack in it - wrap it with clear packing tape and you will get a few more runs with it) - and earmark them just for EMBOSSING....that way you are sure to always have nice smooth embossing plates...

I bought mine only for embossing. Though it's been a bit neglected the last couple weeks. :(
