I just rec'd my beads from www.pennywisearts.com with awesome instructions and things to help a first-time user with the beads and O'So Sticky Tape! I can't wait to try them out!!!
Isn't Suzanne great? I was already favorably prejudiced by her name, but the little extras she provides are wonderful. Now - to get more bead colors more closely matched to the SU 48 ...
Oh! We are sure trying to do just that Sue!! (Match SU colors that is!) My DH is building a custom bead coloring machine for it! Wouldn't it be something if Penny Wise was Stampin' Up's supplier?!?! Ü
Thanks so much for the public praise you guys! I can't even tell you how much that means to us!! Besides, your words about us will go father than any advertisement I can buy!!
BTW -- have ya heard the news that I'll be on Crafters Coast to Coast on HGTV??? They will be here in January to tape it!! I am O'So excited!!
Oh my gosh I love your site, glad to be able to put a face now with your name!!!
Did you end up making the ornament I taught on line last evening??
I have to get all the bead colors now!!!!
Hugs Jen
Oh WOW that is so cool that you are going to be on HGTV. I LOVE that show. Please let us know when it will air, at least the date if you can find out. Congrats!!!
I have to agree with Rebeka! I have ordered a few things from Pennywise and I just love the products and the customer service! It would be AWESOME if they supplied SU! Can't wait till Suzanne's husband gets that custom bead coloring machine going!
Hi Joy...I haven't forgotten my avatar!!! Maybe by Monday morning!
Suzanne---I did it! They are great fun to make! Did a few winter ones...will make a great hostess gift for tomorrow's potluck we are going to. Off to find directions for the small legal pad covers!
Suzanne,
When you find out exactly when your segment will air, PLEASE post! We'd love to see you! And, yes, your customer service is A+. I have received 2 orders, and am like a little kid in a candy store when I open my goodies.
If any of you haven't played the microbeads, you're missing out!
I'm in the process right now of beading red pens for my students. They are required to have a red "checking" pen in class, and they are always losing them. So...I am stamping each of their names over a rainbow-hued background and then beading. The kids will receive them in their treat bags from me next Friday before they leave for their holiday. Can't wait to see their faces...they're going to flip. They see me use my beaded pen everyday, and they LOVE it. (I made similar pens for my mom to give her golfing buddies; I'll post the scan later tonight.)
Queenpennywise! That is sooo awesome! Looking forward to seeing the segment. I too love that show. Get ready after doing it as I bet you will be flooded with even more orders! Rock on! Gina
I love, love LOVE those beads!! I am so getting some, need to make some money during SAB to buy things for me to "play" with. Have you all seen this pic?
If only we all had some extra income right now...and that pic is out of this world!!! WOW Could you imagine???QPW you are a lucky lady, and if you are still reading this, let us know when you have the SU colors down pat and we can all send DS an email YELLING FOR THEM!!! LOL
Oh WOW! Wouldn't THAT be cool!! I will FOR SURE enlist your aid in convincing SU that that NEED our BEADS as soon as we have their colors matched and can do it consistently!!! :0)
I just visited the PennyWise site...awesome! Can you all tell me which micro beads you all have bought that you like? I have never used them but have the SU sticky tape so I need to brave this next frontier! Suggestions would be appreciated!
Oh Melissa!! How exciting!! You are a fabulous teacher! I can tell! Wish I could see the looks on those little faces!!
Joy Said: "Can't wait till Suzanne's husband gets that custom bead coloring machine going!"
You and me BOTH Joy!!! LOL!! He wants to start another project and has been forbidden to do anything else until that bead machine is done!! LOL!! Talk about motivation!!
I have no idea when the Crafters Coast to Coast will air my segment(s) - I am being taped for FOUR! But as soon as I know -- YOU'LL know!! :0)
As for what colors to choose when starting out -- I always tell a newbie to pick clear as well as one or two other colors that 'speak' to them. Black, gold and silver are all very versatile,....but if the plum calls your name (like it does mine) then you gotta have it!! :0)
I really need to order some of the O so sticky sheets to use...I have some non PW beads, (didn't know about you then) LOL But don't use them due to the lack of the sticky sheets...I think I would really use my beads more if I had the sheets!
Oh goodness, gracious! There are only about a million and ten things you can do with the colored beads!!
Use tape scraps to adhere them to most anything! Cut out shamrocks, hearts, flowers, whatever and mount them on a card, a notebook, etc. and then press into a mixture of the beads! Use strips of O'So Sticky Tape to create beaded stripes on pencil cups, edge tile magnets. picture frames or anything else that catches your eye! Use our free template to make a shaker card and fill the window with a bead mix - the possibilities are endless!!
If you want more detailed deas for using the colored bead you need to join my yahoo group! There are TONS of ideas there because we host weekly classes!!
Oh! And if you have any RSVP pens left over, you can unscrew the little cap (leave the ink barrel inside) and funnel a mix of colored beads down INSIDE the pen for a quick and fun decorative pen!
I love them. I just placed an order with them. THe customer service was the best I have seen in years. They answer questions, give direction and are friendly to boot. A++++ service.
My funny and beady friend, the Bead QUEEN! has shared this with me, and I thought y'all would get a kick out of it, so be on the look-out for this rising TV Star!

It's official! I will be making my debut on HGTV's show 'Crafters Coast to
Coast' on Monday, April 18th. Set your VCR's! The Epsiode # is 216. I am
in acts 3 & 4 - meaning the last half of the show! You'll need to check
your local listings to find out what time it airs in your area.
For those of you that may not have been aware, the camera crew decended on
my house in January and spent 7 hours taping for my whopping 15 minutes of
fame and glory! Ü There was a lot of peer pressure in the room - so if I
do things out of character, just know that I was coherced!
Suzanne is a sweetie and way fun gal--I hope you get a chance to watch her in action! I had an opportunity to meet her once when she travelled to my island for a shoebox event and was instantly smitten with her smile and personality!
