Default Glue

Hi:

Could anybody tell me what kind of glue is best for cardmaking? Something that is not too expensive and works well???

Mono multi. It took me a while to get used to it, but now, I would never use anything else. It lasts forever too!

I used to use the Red Duck Easy Stick tape runner... but I was going through it so fast, I now use an ATG. Much cheaper, sticks great, and lasts a long time. If it's to cover chipboard and stuff like that, I use a glue stick.

I've just discovered the Mono Multi. It's the best I've found so far.

Mono multi is my choice, mainly for $ reasons...I use my JoAnn & Michaels coupons...be sure to get the green & white bottle...there is a slight learning curve on how much to use.

If you make a lot of cards, I highly recommend the ATG Gun. In the long run, you save more money. It save you time too

Mono Multi by Tombow. Here's the cheapest I have found yet:

Green and white bottle. Two tips. Removeable or permanent application. Acid free. Love this stuff.

For years I used a tape runner and just recently switched to Zip Dry Paper Glue. You do have to make sure you cover it tightly or the glue will dry in the nozzle in between uses. I just clean it out with a stick pen. But I think it sticks better than tape and there are no wrinkles.
I have used Uhu stick glue and that is probably the most economical. But I've received cards in the mail where the layers come unattached from each other or the card. I don't know what type of adhesive they used, but I spend enough time on my cards that I want to be sure they stay together.

For card making I use double sided tape that I buy at Walmart. It works great and is super cheap. Then I use the more expensive stuff for scrap booking and such.

I use Modge Podge with the chipboard, red tape for larger cuts of paper, dots behind embelishments, and Scrapbook Adhesives for vellum. They also come in tape that is cut in little tiny bits as you use them like whiteout strips. I really like those because they are so handy when I need them and they come in an initial set that has magnets to hold all three kinds together. I haven't tried the Tombow Mono Multi but will check it out.

I love 3M's quick dry Tacky glue for paper - available at Target, Mike's, Joann's. I swear by it! I think it would hold the bumper on my car LOL!

Thanks everyone! You have all been so helpful. I will check out all these types of glues and figure out what one would be good for me. Hopefully I can find some of them in Canada. Have a great long weekend!!!
