Does anyone have a source where they have found these cheaper? I would love to have one but the one place I found them online was very expensive. I have a plastic one that some polish remover is in, but I am scared to use it because they say not to use plastic with OMS.
Thank you,
Lori
I've had some in a plastic bottle from Michael's since Oct 1997 and it has been fine. Here is a link to my blog post so you can see what it looks like. http://craftharsis.blogspot.com/2007...l-toolbox
I splurged and bought that *expensive* frosted glass one - no regrets. It doesn't squirt up if you pump too hard, the OMS stays in the well a bit longer than my stamping friend's plastic bottle. Hers needs a heavier hand when pumped. I like the metal lid, and it just looks good!
I believe they have them at Sally's beauty supply. If not look up Menda Pump Bottles. They are used in the arts, manufacturing, and beauty industries and probably others. I think I saw some on Ebay too. Good Luck!

Sally's is where I got mine - but mine is plastic and a bit clunky. I want a smaller one now ....
I bought the pink frosted Menda pump, expensive, but pretty and works great! I searched all the beauty supply places online, but a lot of them were wholesale only, or they didn't have the glass one I wanted. I did see them on Ebay though, I can't remember what they were called though. That was the hardest thing about finding them, some places called them purity pumps, some called them something else.
Thanks for all the great info ladies! If anyone thinks of the name I could find them under on ebay I would appreciate it, that has been the hard part for me too!
Gone to look up Menda Pump Bottles and try to find a deal. Nothing against the expensive one, but I just don't have the funds for that much right now. May have to ask a friend who cuts hair to help me look.
Thank you for the link to your blog! That is a cool bottle too! Does it have a top that goes over the sponge? I am worried about spilling, since I want to take it on an upcoming trip with them.
Cynthia it says on the bottle BWD Bottle with dauber 4 oz Barcode is 6439215931 I honestly can't remember what section it was in. I'll ask my mom if she can remember because it was in a random spot.
Lori it does have a plastic lid that goes over the top. I find that the sponge action on this one works fine for me it's hard to explain but when I depress it I kind of shake it gently and it come out just fine. I'm not against the other ones I just am one of those silly people who hate paying shipping when I can find something locally.
Menda sells directly to resellers only, for the trade. OTOH, I did a search for glass pump under the Health and Beauty category on Ebay and there were a few results that way. Blue frosted glass ones for around $10.
I have been looking for these too. I saw the blue frosted glass ones on Ebay, but they are charging $11.50 shipping. So you may as well say you are paying 21.50 for the glass pump. Plus the seller has zero feedback.
I am a Science teacher and bought my pump dispenser from a lab supplies company. They are essentially the same items but seem to balloon in price once they are sold as a craft item. You can try searching for "single touch pump dispenser". I recall seeing some companies selling them for about $10 to $12 per bottle. I managed to get one locally at a really good price and was glad I did not have to spend $30 to $35 inclusive of shipping to Singapore for mine.
That's where I got mine also. I've had them since last year and absolutely love them. Worth the money. I bought the amber colored ones so they would keep the light out pretty well. I got two: one for Gamsol and one for baby oil. Use them both.
I know everyone is saying not to use plastic, but I bought mine at a nail salon supply store over a year ago and have not had one problem with it. It was only $7. No leaks, no bubbles, not one problem. I guess I've just been lucky.

I agree. I'm glad that I bought this from Gina K. I've had no regrets.

could u let me know where i can get this pump dispenser? thank you.
I bought a small glass one from Michaels. I paid $1.99 and I put a piece of sponge inside - hint from other SCSers and it works great!
I did also see the small pump top ones at Michaels but they are way more expensive.
Hi Sobi, I just did a search on ebay for 'one touch pump dispenser' and found a couple for sale at about $12 to $15. Mine was from a local lab supplier and since I stay in Singapore, it probably will be cheaper if you buy locally on ebay. =)
I have a tin one that I just adore. I did some major searching and price compares before I finally settled on it. I liked that I could alter it to match the rest of my blending box. ;)
I washed out an empty stamp cleaner bottle and use that for my OMS. It's plastic, and I've had it for several years. It didn't cost me a penny!

Thank you for your reply. I live in Singapore too. I would have to pay extra shipping cost to S'pore if I were to purchase from ebay. Would you mind telling me which local lab supplier you purchase from? Tks a lot.
Will these pumps work with the Goo Gone as well. I have been using baby oil - I used one of my SU stamps cases with a piece of felt and then just soaked the felt with the baby oil. I have now tried using the goo gone and I think I like it better but it evaporates quickly and I am wondering how people are storing it. Thanks Annette
I just went to Sally Beauty Supply Store and found this bottle on sale for 6.95. I is perfect has a metal top so i wont get gross looking after a while, It is plastic buts is just fine. I plan on decorating it (of course) eventually
