Default Georgia Pacific White Card Stock

I have seen threads where ladies prefer GP white cardstock to SU because it is a heavier card stock. Thought I would try it but can't seem to find who carries it. Went to Office Max & Staples and neither carry GP. Where do you buy it? Also, do you get a crisp stamped image with it? While the SU white is thin, IMO, you do get a nice crisp image. Thanks for your input. Suzie

I get GP white cardstock at Wal-mart the last I bought was 5.48 for 150 sheets.
I use it as the base for most of my cards, usually have a SU colored paper layer or two on top of it. I have never used SU white so can't compare for you.

I do like the GP CS very much, mostly for the price. I find it at Office Depot. Staples carries Hammersmith, which I like too.

You can get it at WalMart and Sam's Club... I like it a lot, but also really like SU Whisper White.

This is exactly what I do. I don't use the SU colored paper as a base any more. I save money by using a white base. And it's also easier to stamp or write on the white inside of the card than if the base is say, dk blue or red.

I am happy with the GP white cardstock. Even though it isn't as smooth as the SU white paper, stamped images do turn out nice and crisp. The price is certainly right!

Bought mine at Wal-Mart and Sam's club but my last package is from Staples with a different label. It's GP Image White 110 lb. Before I bought SU whisper white, I used GP all the time for stamping and the images were fine but now I prefer to stamp on SU. It does make a crisper image. But I prefer GP for the card base since it's heavier. Just got a pack of the papertrey cs though and hear it's even better.

I also use the GP white c/s, particularly for stamping with Palette Hybrid ink for the purpose of coloring with Copic markers (alcohol ink). Until I moved away from SU Whisper White, coloring with Copics was smeary. The GP c/s has more of a "matte" finish, rather than a "polished" finish. ;)

I got mine at Walmart. It doesn't seem heavier to me than the SU whisper white (Maybe I didn't get the right paper?) I still have some GP paper but am using SU white and give my DS the other paper if he wants to make a card. I think SU white takes the inks better and I like to use prismacolors and gamsol better on SU's WW.

I tried the GP cardstock a couple of times, back before I became a demo. Maybe I'm just super-picky or something, but I wasn't happy with the quality at all -- whether it was a solid or outline image the ink bled and feathered if I used anything other than StazOn, and I could tell the difference immediately if I picked up a sheet of GP instead of Whisper White. It became even more obvious which was which with a side-by-side comparison. Tried a different pack from a different Wal-Mart in case I had just gotten some from a bad batch, and the problems were the same.

I too bought mine at WalMart, but I was totally dissatisfied with it. It is way too flimsy for being the weight that it states that it is! :(

I buy mine now at Xpedex and get 250 sheets for 6.49.

Same here! It's wonderful with the markers.

For stamping I like Whisper White or Papertrey White much better.

I just bought some of it to print on for some projects at Christmas. It worked pretty well when I printed and stamped on it. I just got it b/c it was cheap for a project I was working on. not bad...
