Question Fun Flock question.....

Can I use heat and stick powder for the Fun Flock or do I need something different?

Fun Flock should be used with Double sided tape Or Glue.

From what I read online you shouldn't use Fun Flock with the heat and stick stuff...Cause this has to be heated and the Fun Flock will melt.

I would think that you'd need to use something different, because in order to "set' the heat-n-stick, you have to reheat it after applying the fun flock... and I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you're supposed to heat fun flock! :???:

Any liquid glue works great, or even a glaze pen does a good job.

The essential glue pad by Tsunineko will work- as it does not need to be heated. The Palette Glue Pad will not work, as it needs to be heated.

I use my Quickie Glue Pen for fun flock all the time. The Stampin Up glue pen works great, too.

I use Elmers, LOL! Also my current fave, Martha Stewart glitter glue with the little fine applicator.

Thanks for asking this. I just picked up some Fun Flock at Arvivers last night. They told me just to use a glue pen. I can't wait to try it out on some Christmas cards!!

I use either my zig two way glue pens or my Sakura's Quickie Glue pen. Here are the links to what they look like:
Zig Two Way
Sakura's Quickie Glue

Not affliated with Scrapbook Pal, just find thier prices the cheapest, this is where I get my mono multi cheapest too, and they do free shipping over $25

The essentials glue pad will give you a flatter and thinner application of flock- a glue pen will give a bit thicker application and a line of glue from the tombow mono glue or elmers will give you the thickest. Using mono glue or elmers gives a more raised glue line, so the flock will stick to the top of the glue and a bit to the sides of the glue line- so the different glued make the fluck look different Especially on the white I find- to get a good fuzzy white I use elmers or mono glue. If you're going to heat anything on the card do that before you apply your flock. Same goes for coloring and chalking- basically just do the flock last! lol Otherwise you have to work around it and it's just a pain to do it that way. I love love love the flock! Happy flocking to you all!

It is way fun to flock. I like using the Sakura Quickie Glue pen to add some flock into those line art images like Stampendous has.

You can use the Versamark pen or pad and then sprinkle with clear embossing powder then heat and while the embossing is still warm press the flock into it. You can also use glossy accents and press the flock onto it.

As well as the glue essentials pad or the sakura glue pen.

Also if you cut our an image or stamp and image and cut it out you can use the double sided wacky tacky tape or strips too.

Oh yes I forgot, since the fun flock is by stampendous I went to their site for tips. You can also stamp on top of the fun flock for details.

However, after 8 tries I could not get my stamp image to line up. I guess it would be best with a completely clear stamp

Question ~~First time Flocker ~~

I love heat embossing so I thought I'd try some flock but when I got home with it there was no instructions on how to use it. So I am sooo thankful for everyone here sharing info on how to use it. I am still a little intimidated by it but am trying to made myself use it on something. Can you heat up clear embossing powder then sprinkle with the flock on top of that or will it melt the flock ? Thanks again. Happy Stamping ! Beckaroni

Default frustrated with flocking

I've tried the glue pad by palette and it all rubbed off. I tried the glaze pen, I've tried the zig glue pen, but I'm having trouble maintaining the amount and placement of the glue. Am I doing something wrong? So many of you have said you like using the glue pen. Help me please, before I throw this stuff out.

You can buy Fun Flock from many plces. They sell it at Archivers and TAC has it in their catty. I don't remember seeing it Michaels or Joannes but I could be wrong as I never really looked for it their. Many LSS's sell it alos. It is also sold on-line on many websites I just don't know of them right now as I don't shop on line.
I have used Fun Flock with Heat & Stick powder and it does not melt. It just gives a thin layer of it though. I use an old bottle Glossy Glaze that I still have.It works really nice.

woo hoo! I just picked up a Halloween color pack (orange, purple and lime green) at Hobby Lobby in the seasonal section...actually I bought two...this is the first time I had ever seen it there...they were $2.99...I used a coupon and the guy gave me 40% off one and 30% off the other (strange) but won't complain since it was just suppose to be off one...no plans for it but I will add it to my stash of other colors...

Glue and a foam paint brush works really good, you can control how much glue and where you want the fun flock to go. I have a bottle of glue which is colored that matches the fun flock. I bought it a long time ago, it's by Plaid. It still works good.

The Plaid combo was an acrylic craft paint with matching flock...brayer the paint on a stamp, stamp, immediately sprinkle the flock on the image, allow to dry, shake off excess flock.

I was so disappointed when Plaid pulled that product off the market. I stamped a LOT of butterflys with black paint with black flock applied on the wet paint. When the paint was dry, I colored the image with reinkers.
